Grading Policy
Here at Micro-P we have devised an accurate Grading Policy to ensure we deliver products to our customers with clear and concise information on their condition, both physically and aesthetically.
Each product is processed in house by one of our engineers and assigned a grade based upon its condition and workings. Our grading structure spans from "Grade A", through to "Grade E", our lowest functional grade. Below Grade E we do offer for sale items deemed to be not working or unfit for resale in our Bargain Basement shop category, these are sold by auction format only and for spares or repair.
Refurbished Items
Customer returned product processed in house by our engineers. These units are free from any cosmetic markings, and come complete with all accessories & packaging. As new condition and will boot to original start-up screen. Includes a full manufacturers warranty.
Grade A
Open boxed returns/cancelled orders - these come complete and as new other than the manufacturer's seal may be broken.

Grade B
Again these units come "as new", other than our engineers will have powered up the machine to ensure that it is fully functional.

- May have very light cosmetic markings - from product test
- Internal packaging on accessories maybe missing - from product test

Grade C
Units will have been tested by our engineers and will show signs of demonstration or light use.

- May be missing non-essential accessories*
- May be missing original internal packaging
- Printer ink/toner cartridges will be installed
- May have light cosmetic markings to areas visible when in use - screen bezel for e.g.
- May have cosmetic markings to areas not visible when in use - base plate for e.g.
- Balance of Manufacturers Warranty/60 Day return to Micro-P

Grade D
Units will have been tested by our engineers and will show signs of significant use.
- May be missing original packaging
- May be missing non-essential accessories*
- May be missing 'In the box' items**
- Printer ink/toner cartridges will be installed and heavily used
- May have cosmetic markings to areas visible when in use - screen bezel for e.g.
- May have heavy cosmetic markings to areas not visible when in use
- Balance of Manufacturers Warranty/60 Day return to Micro-P

Grade E
Grade E is the final grade we offer for sale. Again these will have been tested by our engineers and deemed to be working and fit for purpose.
- May be missing original packaging
- May be missing non-essential accessories*
- May be missing 'In the box' items**
- Printer ink/toner cartridges will be installed and may be fully consumed
- May have cosmetic markings or light structural damage to areas visible when in use
- May have heavy cosmetic or structural damage to areas not visible when in use
- Warranty - 60 Day Return to Micro-P
*Items that can be replaced by a generic/3rd party product at the minimum of expense. Mains or other cables (excl PSUs), user manual, for example.
