History

When Magic Moments started in 1985, I recognised that there was a gap in the market for a company to supply top quality adult products without making the customer feel dirty or ashamed. Most mail order suppliers at that time were openly promoting themselves as 'seedy', 'behind closed doors' type operations. Most of them were also charging ridiculously high prices for very shoddy items. In 1985, the Internet was almost non-existent, it was in its infancy, so the choice was restricted to mail order or shabby looking shops. My belief was that there would be some respectable honest companies, somewhere, but as I carefully researched the market, it became increasingly apparent that if any actually existed, they were very hard to find! So that's when I decided to start selling love toys and sexy lingerie - Magic Moments was born!. The first advertisement was in a photographic magazine called Camera Weekly, the cost? £2.47. I advertised a lingerie catalogue produced by one of our suppliers. The dozen or so requests for the catalogue resulted in a couple of orders, our very first order was from a Doctor in the West Country, who continued to buy from us for many many years.

A Family Business

Unlike many of our competitors or other stores on the Internet, we are not a faceless affiliate company based in some remote location or foreign country that keeps you waiting for weeks. We are a UK family run business at the end of a standard landline telephone number and with our own fully stocked warehouse on the South Coast and very proud of it. Our customers prefer shopping with us because their credit card details are never at risk (as has been the case with several high profile overseas companies, outside the scope of UK law). Even Celebrities choose us too, obviously for confidential reasons we can't and wont name them, but an extremely famous pop star orders from us regularly, they know only too well, we are always completely trustworthy and confidential.
