David made Madelena’s first sale out of an old suitcase in 1997. Daughter-in-law Bridget set up a Madelena hub in the US. Son Ben joined in 1999 to build the website. Ben now runs the operation, with David doing shows and Bridget holding fort in the US. Christine works in the office full time, assisted by Jen, Jo, Julie, and Kerry, all now mums and working part time.

To date, we have handled 6300 pieces of majolica, 5000 Staffordshire figures, and 2400 samplers and shipped to 37 different countries.
