  • PLEASE NOTE: DELL Technical Support level depends on what country you live in.
  • EU countries eligible for IMMEDIATE and DIRECT, ONLINE warranty transfer&technical support: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom.
  • EU countries (so called EMEA countries) eligible for INDIRECT warranty transfer (it takes longer to transfer it): Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Romania and Slovenia. DELL may require to wait up to several weeks or month so that warranty could be transferred.
  • MADLapTOP will help to sort-out any warranty relaited issues.
  • MADLapTOP is just a reseller therefore can not affect DELLs technical support quality. For example, laptop sold has Next Business Day warranty but DELL is not able to fix laptop immediately in some countries. For example, DELL has Technical Support Center in Spain so can fix this laptop immediately but hasn't the same center in Hungary - there are other companies that provide DELL Technical support services in Hungary but these companies are not so quick or simply don't support model of the laptop. DELL can not quarantee that all models are eligible for repair service in EMEA countries.
  • Finally, other sellers on eBay wouldn't even bother to inform you what I have just told you - they are selling without informing buyers about some possible warranty related issues in EMEA countries. MADLapTOP is all about being HONEST;)

1. WHAT TYPES OF WARRANTY MADLapTOP COMPUTERS COME WITH?
   A) NBD (Next Business Day): How does it work? In case of technical problem, please call DELL Technical Center, provide TAG Number, explain situation and an engineer will be sent to your address NEXT BUSINESS DAY!!!
  B)
In-Home Warranty Support, including evenings and Saturdays (also known as FIFTH BUSINESS DAY): computer will be fixed within 5 working days.
  C) Collect and Return (CAR): computer will be collected by courier and sent back once fixed. If faulty part is removable (for example, DVD drive), new part will be sent by courier and faulty one collected later on.

2. Warranty is WORLDWIDE and will be transferred BY SELLER upon request.
Info needed for warranty transfer: TAG number of computer, Buyer's Name, Surname,
 Address, E-mail and Telephone number.
    If buyer has to change his/her address in the future, this is not a problem; the most important thing is that Warranty has been registered under his/her name. Please make sure your contact info is correct (especially E-MAIL and
Telephone number).

3. HOW LONG DOES WARRANTY TRANSFER TAKE?
    1-4 weeks for main EU countries if transfer is ONLINE. List of countries
eligible for ONLINE Warranty Transfer can be found here:

  If your country is NOT listed, seller has to fill WORD file type warranty transfer request form and send it to DELL therefore transfer is slower and takes more than month, depending on DELLs warranty policy in that country. List of these countries is here:

4. WILL DELL SEND CONFIRMATION OF COMPLETED WARRANTY TRANSFER TO MY E-MAIL?
  Sometimes but usually not. In this case buyer has to call DELL Techical Center, give TAG number of computer to technical support member and ask about the name warranty is registered under.
  If there is some technical problem with computer and warranty is still registered under seller's name, SOMETIMES it is enough to provide SELLER's/BUYERs personal details and computer will be repaired by DELL.
