1) Load higher in wagon.
Most of my resin wagon loads are made as a drop in/out fit, so are made to fit in the bottom of the wagon. If you require the load to be higher up in the wagon, just put a layer of bubble wrap in the wagon first.
2) Scrap loads.
If you have more than two of my scrap loads, then make one or more of them look different. By just adding one or two bits of scrap to the top of the load.
3) Is not being able to solder to the rails, stopping you from building a better layout?
Then try soldering the wires on to the bottom of the rail joiners. Then just drill small hole (2mm) in your track-bed under the rail joint, and pass the wire through. Now you can solder the wire too a brass pin, or a tag strip, or just use a terminal block. No more blobs of solder on the rails, no more melted sleepers. Just a neat tidy job. |
