Power kites or traction kites are designed primarily as power sources for kite buggys, mountainboards but in the smaller sizes are great fun to fly for a workout.

You should always excercise caution when flying all sizes of power kite since wind conditions can suddenly change and you can potentially have more power from the kite than you expect.

When deciding on size of kite, for land based activities such as buggying or boarding, the vast majority of adults start with a kite around the 3 sq. m size, obviously there are no hard and fast rules on this since body weight and whether the flyer is male of female will also influence choice of size, i.e lighter weight flyers will start with a smaller kite whilst a heavier flyer will require a larger size.

All power kites will have a minimum recomended age of flyer of 16 years, certainly younger flers may be capable of flying the smaller sized kites but this is totally at the descretion of a responsible adult, we will not knowingly sell a power kite to a person under 16 years of age.
