JUNGLE BEAKS

We do not just sell bird toys, parts and supplies but we are also bird owners.

Our promise to you is that we will NOT sell you anything for your pets that we would not or do not give to our own.

98% of all of our colored items are colored by us and by hand, in which we use FDA and bird safe coloring.

Most of our items are stored in sealed bags or containers and ALL are stored in a SMOKE FREE environment.

STORE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Please take the time to read through the information provided below at least once so that there will be no misunderstandings and confusion.

If there is anything you do not understand please contact us BEFORE your purchase.

Because we are human and are constantly adding and updating listings there are times when we will make a mistake(s) in a listing, if you find any please let us know so that we can correct it before you purchase.

 

Please also keep in mind that it is IMPOSSIBLE to cover every issue and or concern on this page or in our listings as we deal with people all over the world and some things are lost in translations, as well as the fact that we just cannot cover every issue, so we need people to use common sense and consider what you would expect others to expect from you if you were in our shoes, as this will help make the buying and selling experience better for ALL of us.

  We are just an internet store; we have no magic powers or super human abilities and therefore possess no more abilities than any store you walk into. 

Although we try, want and hope everything goes as smoothly as humanly possible, in life things happen and sometimes there is no one thing or person to blame, it just happens, and this is why we have provided you with our policies and procedures so that you have an idea as to what to expect and how things are handled on the rare occasion something does go wrong.

 The difference between a store you walk into verses an internet store is usually (but not always); convenience, price and the ability to find things you cannot find in the average or even a specialty shop.

We know that some people may not like or agree with our policies and procedures but they do stand, and we also understand that that may cause some to shop elsewhere and that is your right, and if you do not agree with them we ask you to shop elsewhere. 

Under US law we must publically state our store policies in order to enforce them.

By purchasing from our store you agree to abide by ALL of our store policies and procedures.

 

READING ITEM DESCRIPTIONS

It is VERY important that you read all of the item description(s) BEFORE you purchase so that you truly understand what you are buying.

Unlike in a store in which you walk into and see a display of the item, on the internet all we have are pictures and our descriptions to try and convey what you are buying.  Oftentimes we will include pictures for display purposes only so they will NOT indicate the actual quantities and or colors.

There are also times in which colors will change depending on our shipments so unless we specify specific colors you will or can receive, the color you see in the picture may or may not be the color you will receive.  So if color is important to you please contact us BEFORE you purchase to ensure we have the specific color you want.

SIZING:  We always measure items before we list them and give APPROXIMATE sizes because sometimes they come in a little larger and smaller depending on the shipment.   If the size is significantly larger or smaller we will update the listing to reflect the new size.

If size is important and you and are not sure just how big or small a stated size is,  we recommend you grab a tape measure to help you better understand the approximate size you are buying so that you will not be disappointed once you receive it believing it is bigger or smaller than it actually is.

 We do our best to describe the items as accurately as humanly possible.

 

PACKAGING

We only sell NEW items unless specifically marked as used, which to this point we have not sold any used items.  All items do NOT come individually wrapped.  There are several reasons for this such as they do not come wrapped to us or the wrapping may be coming off so we take it off rather than sending it with tattered wrapping.  However, this does not mean it is not new.

We just never know what is going to be wrapped when we receive it and what is not.  We also do not individually wrap the items we manufacture.

 

PAYMENT

All purchases are due within 7 days from the close of the FIRST auction or buy it now.

 We accept paypal, and if you are paying via e-check through paypal, these must also clear just like a regular check, which can take 3-5 business days (excludes weekends), then they must be posted to our account. We do not mind you paying in any of these methods but please understand that we can only ship once we get a CLEARED payment and these delays are out of our control.

  

SHIPPING

We do combine shipping on multiple items (3 or more) so please contact us BEFORE you pay or checkout for your items. Combined shipping can only apply to orders placed on ONE invoice.  If you pay for each item separately we must ship them separately and therefore cannot combine shipping.  Please contact us before you check out for combined shipping as we must do it manually.

 

  When you buy just 3 or more items we charge actual shipping plus a small handling fee, which ranges from $1-$4 max for the entire order in the USA, and $1.50-$6 max for international.  Insurance is included on all packages.  We either self-insure them or insure them through a third party.

 

Because our shipping rates per item are pretty accurate sometimes it may SEEM that you did not save much on combined shipping but we assure you, shipping rates are as promised, this is also why it usually takes 3 or more items before we can combine the shipping.

 

We do not profit from shipping or handling, as we actually pay someone to pack & ship your packages, and just like you need a fair living wage from your job, so does our shipper.  The handling charge only helps cover a small portion the actual costs, it does not cover all of them.

 

 We do our best to ship all orders within 4 business/work days or sooner of a cleared payment, however, this is NOT a guarantee and there are exceptions, some of which are noted in the listings.

 

COMBINED SHIPPING

We must combine your shipping manually so please do NOT pay until we have sent you an invoice with your combined shipping rate.  Please just let us know you are done shopping and we will estimate your shipping.

 

Even if we have given you a prior estimate via email we will still need to manually adjust the shipping rate which we do in the actual invoice.

 

Although we are usually pretty accurate, we do not always know your exact shipping rate until it is actually packed and weighed.   

Please allow us enough time to get to your order to get the combined rate.  It can take us several hours and even up to one business day to get to your order but we do get to it as fast as we can. Orders are prcessed in the order in which they are recieved.

 

We also have several stores outside of ebay so we are processing, shippng and answering emails for many customers each day, and EVRYONE no matter how big or small or where the order is from is just as important.

 

REFUND FOR SHIPPING

 It takes a lot f time to go through and refund orders when you pay before we combine your shipping, not only that we are now charged an 11% FEE for the total amount of shipping you pay which we do not get back even if we refund you the overage.  Then there is the fact that paypal will flag our account if we have too many refunds.

 

So for these reasons we will no longer refund the shipping overage and why it is VERY important to be patient and allow us the time needed to get you a combined invoice.  However, what we WILL do instead is, add extra product(s) to your order if it is more than $1.50 in overage.

 

We do NOT promise same or next day processing or shipping, although sometimes it does happen. 

Please do not email us demanding same or next day shipping as we no longer push orders ahead of others.  Your order will be shipped in the order it was recieved.

 

 Shipping times vary depending on your zone and shipping method.  It also matters WHEN you paid for your items.

 

PRIORITY MAIL

 Please note that when you request and or pay for priority mail, this only speeds up the time in which the post office delivers your package, it does not affect the time in which your order is processed and shipped through us.

  We ship ALL orders in the order in which they are received. 

 There are several states which seem to take longer for packages to arrive no matter how fast we ship them and the only sure way to get them there within 3-5 business days is priority mail do to the shipping zones they are in.

  These are a some of those states: AZ, CO, MI, SC, NC, WI, WA, MO, TX, IL and believe it or not sometimes even MA.

  Please remember that Shippers have NO control over ANY of the post offices.  It is also important to understand that the 2-5 business days for first class and the 5-9 business days for parcel post estimates are ONLY ESTIMATES, NOT guarantees.

 ebay now puts estimated delivery dates in the listings (we do not)  based on the post offices ESTIMATED delivery dates but again these are NOT gurantees and are only ESTIMATES. 

 Please also note that ebays estimated deliveries do NOT take internatinal orders into account so the estimates for international orders are not even close to correct.

We understand that people often receive their packages in a few days depending on their zones, and other factors but there are MANY times in which it takes the FULL estimated time and beyond. But again, the shippers have NO control over this.

  

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

 The item price and the shipping price do NOT include any duties, taxes, custom or carrier charges etc. ANY and ALL fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

 We do not collect these fees and we have no idea what these fees may be.  These fees may be due when you go to pick up your package or when it is dropped off at your location.

 Please check with your government and or customs office for these fees.

Under the US and International law we cannot mark packages as gifts or below the selling price.

 Please also understand that we cannot be responsible for postal and custom delays.  Oftentimes packages are held up at customs and we have NO idea why or when they will be cleared and released nor can we be responsible for getting them cleared and released.

 

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING TIMES

 Shipping times do vary from country to country.  Although you can receive your package in 6-10 BUSINESS days (excludes weekends and holidays), it can take 6-8 weeks and on occasion take even 9 weeks.  There are many reasons for this however none of them are in our control.

 Please know that the post office will not even begin to look for them for up to 45 days after the shipping date due to customs delays and other factors. They then require more time for your country’s postal office and customs to respond to the inquiry.

 We do insure EVERY international package but we are unable to even file a claim for a lost package for 45 days due to the fact that the post office requires enough time for delivery and delays by customs etc.

 We do NOT reship or refund packages until it has been determined that the package is actually lost and you have provided the required information for our insurance company.

It has been our experience that when given the required time the package is usually found and delivered.  It appears that customs is USUALLY the problem (but not always).

 By purchasing from our store you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

 

INSURANCE

 In the event an item is lost or broken during shipping insurance will cover it, however, the insurance company will only cover the loss or damage if the required information is provided by the BUYER/RECIPIENT.  So, we the seller need you to provide the required information so that it can be covered.  Because we actually pay for your package to be insured we also require you to provide the needed information so that we can be reimbursed as well.

 What you will need to provide is pictures of the actual damage as well as the packaging (the packaging must show our labels) and include inside packaging as well.   This process is the same with any insurance across the US and in most countries, whether buying online or making a claim to your home owners, car insurance etc.

 Please also note that damage claims MUST be made IMMEDIATELY and no more than 24 hours of receipt of your package.  We understand that providing the needed information is often not convenient but please understand that these are not our rules they come from the insurance company and the loss or damage was caused by the shipping company not us, and the only way for any company or individual to cover the loss when something goes wrong is through insurance.

We reserve the right to reject any claim if the required information is not provided in the time required.

Even if a package is self-insured by us we still need pictures of the damage and packaging for our records for accounting and tax purposes.  We may also require the item be returned before refunding our reshipping.

  

FORWARDING COMPANIES

 As a policy we do NOT sell to third party shippers, FORWARDING companies and alike.

 We will not take responsibility for ANY loss or damage done from a third party shipper, FORWARDING companies and alike do to the fact that packages are then beyond our care and control as they are then RE-HANDLED by their own shippers, warehouse staff and shipping company (s) etc.  

 If you are a third party and or forwarding company and purchase from our store and or auctions in spite of our policy, you agree to take FULL responsibility for the package when you purchase on behalf of YOUR clients.  It will also be your responsibility to handle any and all issues that may arise from YOUR client so that it does not have a negative impact on our feedback and ratings.  If you do not agree to these terms and conditions than we ask that you please do not purchase from our store and or auctions.

 

TRACKING

ALL orders which are able to be sent using paypal or online postal service will receive an automatic tracking number, which can often be tracked via the usps tracking system, however this system will only track packages as they are scanned along the way and there are MANY times in which they are not scanned until they are delivered so no tracking is available to you or the shipper, and even if we call the post office, all they will do is check the tracking system.

  Under the post office rules they do not have to start searching for packages until 14-30 days after the shipping date in which it has gone UNDELIVERED depending on the shipping method.

 

14 days is for priority mail and 30 days is for first class and parcel post.

One of the reasons for this is because packages get delayed, misrouted etc and the estimates given are only estimates as they state, and packages often (but not always) show up within the 14-30 days when there is a delay or are misrouted.

 You must also understand that the post offices handle MILLIONS of packages worldwide on pretty much a daily bases and with that many packages every day, there are bound to be mishaps along the way with a small percentage, as NO system, person or business is or can be expected to be 100% perfect all of the time.

 

RETURNS

 Although we do not accept returns for health and safety reasons, when it comes to items we do not make ourselves, there are instances where they will come to us factory sealed and they may not work or work properly and in these instances we will accept a return.  However, the buyer is responsible for the return shipping costs.  This is no different than the time and gas you would spend to return an item to a store you purchased it from.  We know of no store who will pay for someone to come and pick up your return or reimburse you for time, trouble and gas for returning a non-working or malfunctioning item.

 Just like any store you walk into cannot guarantee that every item you purchase will work properly, as it is impossible and unrealistic to go through every item and test them especially if they are factory sealed, and neither can we.

 However, if we receive the item back and it is working correctly the buyer will also be responsible for a restocking fee of 20%. 

 

FEEDBACK

Feedback is not required or owed to the seller or buyer, it is the choice of BOTH buyer and seller to leave it or not.

We do not leave feedback first for several reasons.

 1.    This is how we know the transaction is complete & all is well, as we cannot possibly check every order for delivery nor do we want to pester our customers with questionnaires.

2.    We have some customers who just do not want their purchases known.

3.    We have other businesses that buy from us and do not want their sources known.

4.    As much as we hate to say it, we do have a small percentage of customers who are IMPOSSIBLE to please no matter how hard we try and please them & we do not reward their behavior with positive feedback.

 So, when feedback is left for us we then know we could & should leave feedback and we do.

 

HOLIDAY SHIPPING TIMES

Holiday shipping times for the post office start around November 15 and continue until after New Year’s.

 What this means is that ALL sipping time estimates at least double and you can EXPECT there to be delays due to the much HIGHER volume of packages being delivered worldwide.

 

PROCESSING

Your orders are first sent to processing, which means they are sent to be counted and packaged for shipping, once they are packed and ready for shipping they then have to be taken to the post office & shipped if they are finished before the cut off time, otherwise they will be shipped the following day providing it is not a weekend.

Our weekly cut off time for processing is 2pm and ALL Friday payments made after 1pm will not be processed until the following week, however processing does not mean SHIPPED. 

  We do NOT ship on weekends

 As long as we can ship your items using the online system you will receive an automatic tracking number as soon as your shipping label is created.

 If you do not agree with the terms and conditions set forth we ask that you please do not shop at our store or from our auctions as this is the best that we can offer you at this time, and it would not be fair for you to buy from us only to adversely affect our feedback and ratings, which will in turn hurt our other customers as well as us.

 We reserve the right to and DO block customers who rate us according to the terms, conditions and policies of other sellers and unreasonable expectations and or promises we never made.
