Homescapes product range is vast; as a result the shipment (package) sizes are also different. We ship small packets of bed linen etc and also ship van loads of bulky hardwood furniture to our customers. The delivery mechanism is diverse for smaller and bulkier shipments and is explained in the sections below:

Delivery Time & Conditions:

We endeavour to ship the goods out of our warehouse within one working day of receiving the order. The goods are stocked and shipped from our central distribution centre based at Great Bridge, Tipton. Over 99% of the orders of items in stock are shipped within two working days of receiving the order.

The goods are shipped using a courier service (We use a range of them like DHL, DPD, Parcel Force or Home Delivery Network) or Royal Mail. The carrier is chosen depending on the size of package and the location of the customer. Most of the carriers deliver within 2 -3 days. So if you need a next day delivery, please choose the option of expedited shipping which is the next working day delivery service. Deliveries to Ireland, Highlands, offshore Islands and Western Europe take additional 2 to 3 days.

If the item is temporarily out of stock or is in transit awaiting replenishment, then our effort is to inform the customers either by changing the lead times on the website, or informing them individually by email or phone.

Important Information, Please read Carefully

Except Royal Mail, all other couriers require a signature on delivery. They attempt to deliver to the neighbours as a standard practice (applicable for most couriers in the UK), your order will not be delivered if there is no one to sign for it and the goods will be returned to us by the couriers. In such an event the postage will not be refunded. If the buyer’s address is difficult to locate or needs special instructions for the couriers, then these must be notified with the order as lack of such information results in failed deliveries.

If you have not received your order within 4 working days, you must get in touch with us so we can investigate the status of your shipment as we expect all orders to be delivered within that period. Please note that most couriers do not entertain claims for shipments more than three weeks old and we have to notify them of any losses within that period or we lose our right to claim against the loss. For this reason, we will not be able to entertain any claims of non receipts after two weeks of our shipping the orders.

Delivery Zones

We deliver to most places, but the delivery charges advertised are for England, Wales and parts of Scotland (what we call Zone 1), for all other Zones, there may be an additional delivery charge, please contact us for further details. More updated details can be found on our delivery page.

Zone 1
England, Wales and parts of Scotland, excluding Highlands and Islands. The zone is made up of all postcodes not mentioned in zones 2 and 3.
Zone 2
The Highlands and Islands of Scotland - postcodes IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE.
Zone 3
Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Isles of Scilly -postcodes BT, IM, TR21-25.
Please note that we classify the Channel Islands as an International destination.
International Destinations
Non bulky items are shipped to most international destinations; please contact us for further details.

PS: Homescapes reserves the right to define the Zone for your delivery and applicable postage will apply.

Furniture and Fragile Bulky Accessories (Mirrors etc).

We prefer to deliver these items on our own vehicles; however we can also deliver using a pallet service. We find a distinct advantage in delivering ourselves to the customers. The main benefits are:

1. The furniture is shipped very safely and the customers receive it in pristine condition.
2. The customers can check the furniture in our presence and there is no ambiguity at all about what we are delivering and what you are receiving.
3. We work with you and try to accommodate delivery time as much as possible.
4. All the packaging material can be disposed by us if requested.
5. In rare event of any fault with the product, it can be taken back immediately rather than you trying to rearranging collections.
6. We can address all your questions about your furniture (how to care etc) whilst delivering.

Delivery Time & Process:

After your order is received, we get in touch to notify the approximate delivery time. The delivery time can vary from under one week to four weeks depending on your location and our vehicle run. One of the ways of keeping our cost low is to plan an economic delivery run. This not only saves costs (and allows us to give you a better price); it’s also eco friendly and reduces our carbon footprint. We work very hard to keep our prices low without compromising on quality of products. And one important way to do that is to club as many deliveries as possible in one run. With a view to keep our prices low, our delivery service is a one man delivery service .If this is a problem then please let us know and we can arrange a two man delivery service for an additional charge.

For urgent deliveries, we can either make a special trip for you or send the goods on a pallet service. Please note that there will be an extra charge for that which will depend on the size of your furniture and your location. We shall however make efforts to find the most economical option.

Since we sell at many platforms sometimes an item could be temporarily out of stock, if that is the case, we shall notify the tentative delivery schedule.

The delivery process for delivery on Homescapes vehicle is as follows:

Step 1: Order is received.
Step 2: We notify the tentative delivery plan and seek your acceptance. And take all necessary contact telephones and special instructions if any.
Step3: We call and confirm once your order has been loaded (usually a day before the actual delivery) and notify the approximate time when the delivery will arrive.
Step 4: If you have requested, the driver will call you up to one hour before he arrives at your address before delivery.
Step 5: The delivery is made and you physically see that the furniture is delivered in good condition.

Delivery Charges & Delivery Zones:

The delivery charges advertised are valid only for England, Wales and parts of Scotland as specified in Zone 1 above. If you are in other Zones, then please contact us before ordering as all Furniture cannot be delivered to most other Zones.

Other Important Information

Furniture delivery can be really expensive and needs a good cooperation and understanding of both the buyer and seller. Please note that we can only keep the cost low by your active cooperation. It’s important that you are aware of this before you commit yourself to buying furniture.

Please note that the delivery charges of furniture are highly subsidised by Homescapes, and in event of a return the actual delivery charges will be deducted. Please feel free to contact us for details of how much the actual delivery charge prior to ordering. More information can be found in FAQ section, which is constantly updated.

In case we are sending the delivery on a pallet service, the delivery is usually done to the kerb side. The driver needs your signature, so please make sure you are available to accept the delivery. We strongly recommend checking your package thoroughly before you sign for your delivery. In event of breakage during transportation, the carriers cannot be held responsible if you have signed for receiving the goods in good condition.
