| Items purchased from GKHero may be returned in their unused in their original condition and packaging within 14 days of purchase. Postage for returns as a result of an unwanted item will be paid for by the customer. Items returned due to a fault of the manufacturer will have the replacement item posted free of charge to the customer and return postage reimbursed upon confirmation of a manufacturer fault. | |  | The concept for GKHero was born in Spring 2010, and our first website was launched in August that year.
The original intention was to seek out, and make available to the mass market, goalkeeper gloves and equipment produced by manufacturers other than the 'big boy brands' carried by other retailers. The reason was simple. We knew that the products produced by some non-mainstream brands were equal, and often superior to, those of the big brands; yet their prices were typically significantly lower. We set out to work in partnership with the best of the smaller brands and to raise their profile in what was a very crowded market. That original concept and these aims remain today, and will continue to be the driving purpose for GKHero.
In the months that followed our birth, we refined and quickly added to our portfolio of gloves. As goalkeepers the world began to trust GKHero to supply their gloves, it was perhaps not surprising that a number of new websites emerged, seemingly targeting the same audience with similar product ranges. However, we led the way and we were proud to be very first retailer anywhere to spot the potential in, and bring to the mass-market, brands such as KLA, Bramic, HPG, GK Union and Paxsport, whose products were previously only available to purchase from them directly. We were also the first of this new wave of retailer to offer a Price Match Promise and we are still yet to be beaten on price.
In addition to our main website, we also launched the GKHero Outlet Store and used this a vehicle for all goalkeepers to purchase very special products, such as prototype models produced for testing by professional keepers, and bargain-price to end-of line and outgoing models.
Over the 2010/11 European season we established a reputation for providing outstanding service by not only offering quality products, but for building relationships with our customers, earning their trust and delivering on our promises.
In late May 2011 we started significant work on redesigning our main website to bring make it far more appealing and functional, and above all enhance the 'GKHero experience'. Our new-look site was launched in October 2011 alongside our first line of GKHero apparel. We believe that this new site, along with the broadening of our range of products, provide an excellent platform for GKHero to get better and better in 2011/12 and beyond and advance toward our ambition to be The Keeper's Number One. |
