ABOUT US
Thanks for visiting our store; we thought you might want to know a little bit more about who you were shopping with so here are a few lines to introduce ourselves at Fev, Fev and Family Fevs.
I'm Fev - my real name is Stephen Featherston (imaginative nickname) but everyone (except my mum) has called me Fev since I was about 6 and I like it that way. I was brought up in Driffield a little town in East Yorkshire; before going to College in Newcastle were I began work for my only company - a furniture retailer - and more importantly met my wife (Sharlene) who was training to be a nurse.
I worked in various guises for this company (Office Manager, Buyer, Giftware Manager and finally Area Manager) over a 12 year period during which time my wife managed to persuade me to move down to her home town - Wakefield in West Yorkshire were we finally married and had our 2 wonderful children - my son Sam & daughter Charlie.
Though I enjoyed much of my working time - I became fed up with the time I was having to spend away from my family and also with having to boss people about and making them do things that I didn't agree with - as they were company policy!!!!! So when an opportunity to leave with a small payout arose - I jumped at it.
I didn't really know what I wanted to do so we ventured a little into property development but as a less than gifted builder / painter & decorator decided this was possibly not the ideal career for me. My mother-in-law Denise was just growing her own ebay business (Bargain Footwear and Clothes - you should take a look - lots of great products) and kindly gave me a job.
Having learnt the ropes - I decided to give it a go myself and in April 2008 opened Fev, Fev and little Fevs - it's hard work but I have great support from Sharlene, Charlie & Sam who all muck in from time to time and obviously I get to spend far more time with them.
We hope we give a great service - we certainly try hard.
