Frequently Asked Questions

Before you send us a message you may want to check to see if your question is here.

General buying questions

Q.  I've paid for something already but I'm still bidding - can I wait and have everything sent together?
A.  Yes.  We usually check to see if you have bids on any other items.  Our normal course of action is to automatically wait until that auction is over.  The only exception to this is when the auction has several days remaining - in this case we usually send you a message to ask if you still want to wait.

Q. What VAT rate is included in your listings?
A. Zero.  We are not currently Vat registered.  We will let you know if/when we do start to charge Vat.

Payments

Q.  What payment methods do you accept?
A.  We accept PayPal, personal cheques and postal orders.  We don't recommend sending cash through the post.

Q.  What if I'm having trouble with my PayPal account?
A.  Don't worry!  We know these things happen.  Just let us know so that we are aware of your situation.

Q.  I've sent an eCheque, what does that mean?
A.  An eCheque works just like a paper cheque.  If you need to know why you're having to send eCheques consult your PayPal account.  eCheques can take several days to clear.  An estimated clearing date is usually displayed next to the transaction in PayPal.  Once we receive notification from PayPal that your eCheque has cleared, we dispatch your items immediately.

Postage & packaging

Q.  Do you combine postage costs?
A.  Yes.  Our postage discounts are applied in one of two ways.  If you have requested, or we have issued a combined invoice, then we apply the reduced postage cost on that invoice.  If you have already paid then we simply refund the discount back into your PayPal account.  If you aren't planning on paying through PayPal, we strongly advise waiting for a combined invoice before paying.

Q.  Is there a maximum P&P cost?
A.  Yes.  At present the maximum cost is £10 (10 GBP) to anywhere in the UK.  For international costs there is no maximum cost - please refer to the international posting question below.

Q.  Will you post outside the UK?
A.  Yes.  Our international sales are continually growing and we welcome any orders from outside the UK.  At present, we do not list P&P prices for international orders, therefore we ask that you request a quote from us before purchasing anything, as heavy orders can often mean larger costs.  Just ask us and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

Q.  Do you use a Courier service?
A.  Yes.  If the combined weight of your package is over 2kg then we use our courier instead.  In most cases deliveries are made on the next working day after dispatching.

Q.  Can I collect my items from you?
A.  Yes.  If you'd like to save on postage you are welcome to come and collect.  All we ask is that you notify us first so that we can remove the postage cost from your invoice and also give us a bit of notice before arriving.  This is so we can have your items packed and ready for when you arrive.
