Are your gemstones natural / genuine?
Yes, all of our gemstones are natural earth mined gemstones. Some may have accepted treatments, that will be stated in the item description. I do not deal in synthetic / fake gemstones.
Is all your silver 925 sterling?
Yes, all of our silver settings, chains, findings are solid 925 sterling silver. I do not deal with any settings, chains, and findings that have been plated or filled. The only items I have that are plated are prayer boxes.
Is all of your gold solid?
Yes, all of our gold settings, chains, findings are solid gold, at least 10kt (stated in item description). I do not deal with any settings, chains, and findings that have been plated or filled. The only items I have that are plated are prayer boxes.
What type of gemstones do I use for snap tite settings?
For snap tite settings you use faceted cut gemstones (multi faceted, pointed back).
What type of gems do I use for cab tite settings?
For cab tite settings you would use cabochon gems (flat back gems with a domed top).
What type of gems do I use for pre-notched settings?
For pre-notched settings you would use faceted cut gems (multi-faceted, pointed back).
How do I use backset drops?
To use backset drops simply place your gem face down into the setting. Then you use the end of your gem setting pliers or a bezel pusher to press the tabs into the gem.
What is the difference between high and low wall backset drops?
High wall backset drops have wider tabs than low wall backset drops. If you like more of "metal look" high wall backset are what you would want. Low wall backset have thinner tabs. Please remember that high wall have wider tabs and you need to use more force to push the tab over the gem. We recommend using a bezel pusher.
What size gem do you use in backset drops?
Always make sure your gems are within .1mm of the setting and not over. For example on a 6mm round backset drop. Make sure your gem is 5.90-6.00mm.

How do I use cab tite settings?
To use cab tite settings place your cabochon on the setting, Line your cab up straight on the setting. Then use gem setting pliers to press the prongs onto the gem. Set opposite prongs first.
How do I use pre-notched settings?
To use pre-notched settings use the basic guide as snap tite settings

What does clarity mean?
Clarity basically refers to how clear a gemstone is. Depending upon the class of gemstone, If there are inclusions or blemishes this means the gemstone is less valuable than a gemstone that has no inclusions. Here is a clarity chart to determine the qualty of our gemstones.
