  • Eponyart

Welcome to my shop!

I thought I would offer those of you who are interested a little information about my hobby.... customising My Little Pony toys.  It may sound a little odd and I'm not exactly sure what originally got me into this weird and wonderful hobby, however I love every minute of it.  Customising ponies essentially requires the artist to take an existing My Little Pony toy and turn it into their own creation (usually a one of a kind piece of pop art).  This requires the artist to strip off features of the existing toy they do not wish to use (in my case I generally remove all the stock paint and hair) and replace them with their own requirements.  The results can be quite unique and extreme!

Frequently asked questions

  • Do you have a gallery or website where I can take a look at your custom ponies?

Yes I do.  You can find my past creations via my gallery page at Deviantart.

  • Do you make custom ponies to people requests?

I'm afraid I don't have the time to make ponies to order.  While I do appreciate peoples feedback on which style of creations they would like to see more of, I find I am the sort of artist who goes with the flow and whose current frame of mind influences their artwork a lot.

  • I want to try and make one, can you help?

Customising ponies takes a bit of practice but there are plenty of sites out there to help you.  The original base pony is just a normal My Little pony toy which can be purchased from many places including eBay and toy shops.  The hair that you root it with can be original left over stock hair (people sometimes use old my little pony tails), saran or nylon (which can be purchased through sites such as www.mylittlecustoms.com and www.restoredoll.com). Once you have the bait you then need to prep it and decide on what you plan to do. For new artists I would suggest keeping the stock eyes as these are one of the hardest things to get right.  Help can be found at www.mlparena.com if you wish to know more on how to customise.  This is a fantastic website and features some amazing artists.

  • I missed out on purchasing one of your ponies, will you make me another the same?

Sorry but most of my creations are one of a kind, meaning when its gone its gone.
