All listings are made in good faith.
Photographs within listings
The photographs included in my listings are of fabric from the same roll or batch as the fabric to be sold - the picture is not usually of the same actual piece that is being sold. Occassionally I will include images from publicity material as supplied by the manufacturer of the fabric which shows examples of how the fabric can be used.
Although every effort is made to portray the fabric in the correct colours, the colour of the fabric shown in pictures cannot be guaranteed. This is due to variance in lighting conditions when the picture was taken, and the unpredictable variances of the monitor setup that the image is being viewed on. If an exact colour in a particular fabric is very important to you, please contact me and I'll try to describe it better. The colours stated in descriptions may only include the main colours present in the fabric. Other colours not mentioned in the description may also be present in smaller amounts. Small errors in the description of the colour of a fabric will not be accepted as "item not as described" complaints.
I provide no guarantee the suitability of any fabric for any purpose.
Sizes and cutting
All fabric is new and off the roll, unless stated in the listing. Fabric is cut to the purchased size (either the specified length and width, or sometimes the equivalent area when multiple quantities are purchased) and packaged by myself. The fabric is normally sold as "pieces", and not "per meter". If a buyer purchases more than one piece of a particular fabric, and that fabric has come off of a roll or a larger piece, that fabric will normally be supplied as a single uncut piece.
For example:
If two pieces of 100cm x 80cm are purchased, I will supply a single piece of 100cm x 160cm (assuming 160cm as being the full width in these examples).
If the buyer purchases three pieces, I would supply a single piece of equivalent area, 150cm length x 160cm width, but I will usually contact the buyer to confirm their requirements.
Four pieces will be supplied as 200cm x 160cm, and so on.
I use metric measurements in all my listings without exception.
Payment
For UK buyers I accept payment via Paypal, personal cheque or postal order. Non-UK buyers may only pay via Paypal unless a cheque can be drawn against a UK bank account. Payment must be received no later than 7 days after the day of purchase. This limit may only be extended in exceptional circumstances. I reserve the right to relist items not paid for within the 7 day limit.
Postage
Delivery times are stated as a guide only and are not guaranteed. Delivery times may be subject to delay due to extreme weather events, public disorder, strikes or other factors. If an order is required urgently within the UK you may request Special Delivery, but an additional charge will be made for this service. For UK addresses, items are posted as soon as possible via Royal Mail 1st Class (usually next working day), or via 48 hour courier for large parcels. Items to international addresses are posted in packages of less than 2kg weight and sent via Royal Mail Airmail (3-7 days). If an order is heavier than 2kg it may be split into multiple packages of less than 2kg each for postage via Royal Mail, or sent via Parcelforce within the EU, or via another international courier service if it is cheaper. If the airmail service is not available, items may be sent via surface mail (10-15 days). The postage charge is as listed in the item listing for single listing purchases. For multiple listing purchases I will combine postage and calculate the cost based on the item weight and/or size, plus a packing charge of 70p.
Non-delivery of items or damaged items
Orders over approximately £10 in value which are posted via Royal Mail will be sent using recorded delivery (charged at 75p) so that there is a proof of delivery record. UK courier services also offer detailed tracking information. This will help protect me and the buyer in cases of reported non-delivery. Tracking numbers will be supplied on request. In addition, I obtain a proof of posting receipt for all items posted via Royal Mail. Please allow up to 16 days from the day of purchase before contacting me about an item not yet delivered (the Post Office do not deem an item missing unless at least 15 days has passed). I will consider replacement or refund of any lost items strictly on a case by case basis. If an item is found to be damaged on arrival due to breakage of the packaging, please contact me to discuss the problem.
