Measurements

Measuring clothing accurately is one of the integral elements of our listings.  A lot of time will go into this procedure, because it is essential that you buy the size that fits you!  Below is an idea of the type of measurement that I do or can do, and how you can measure yourself, to ensure a perfect fit!  All measurements are standard tailoring procedures.

1 = Outside Leg ~ measure from the waist to the ankle

2 = Inside Leg ~ measure from crotch to ankle.

3 = Chest ~  Measure around the broadest part of the chest keeping the tape up under the arms. Keep one finger between the tape and the body.

4 = Outer Arm ~ with the arm held naturally down, measure from the crown (shoulder join) to the cuff in a straight line.

5 = Waist ~ for trousers measure 1 inch above the hip bone. Men tend to breathe in when getting measured so ensure they are relaxed and breathing out!

6 (not shown on pic) = Rear Jacket Length.  measure from the bottom of the collar (where the felt ends) to the jacket hem, down the centre line, in a straight line.

7 (not shown on pic) = Shoulder to Shoulder.  measure across the shoulders, from the arm join across.
