Sizing Help

Fancy Dress Costumes, unlike every day clothing, are designed and constructed to accommodate a variety of sizes. Many have elastic waistbands and use stretch fabrics to give a more comfortable fit. Some gowns or robes may have a waist tie or rope to add definition to the shape while some ladies costumes have waist ties or a corset design which will create better shape in the garment.

As we buy costumes from various manufacturers a small from one supplier may be a different fit than another which is as you will find with clothes on the high street.
We do try our best to average this out and give you a good idea of what to expect which we have shown in the table below but please refer to the item description also for more detail on sizing.

We will add information to the item description if we receive comments from customers about the sizing of a particular item which may help find the perfect fit.
If you think you or your child are in an in-between size or if you are unsure about size, we recommend that you buy one size larger. You can always easily adjust to be smaller rather than struggle to make larger or return for exchange.
