Welcome to Defender Bird Spikes! Thank you for taking the time to get to know us as a company and learn more about our bird control and pigeon control products. Before we go much further, if you live in the South West of England you are welcome to come and visit us and our factory, have a cup of tea and watch our spikes being manufactured. Jones and Son is a family-run manufacturing business, situated near Newton Abbot, in Devon. David and Kursty Jones, the owners, invented and patented the Defender bird and pigeon spike in 1995. After its immediate success they decided to supply it to pest control companies around the UK. Over the next 6 years the Defender spikes became the industry-standard method of protecting buildings from pigeon control problems.
In 2003, the Defender Bird Spikes became available to everyone and sold extremely well on our website. We are now thrilled to be launching our eBay Shop to help us reach even more people. Last year alone we delivered over 1 million strips worldwide, and are very proud of how the company has grown and developed as a highly successful business.
Today, David and Kursty continue to be very involved in the day-to-day running of the company, and still get very excited about every pigeon control question or order we receive.
