The DataNetworking Cat5E Cable Economiser enables two devices to share the same cable and outlet. These are used in pairs, one at the Hub/Router and Patch Panel end and the other at the outlet end

 

The Cat 5E Cable Economiser

 

Use a CAT5e UTP Cable Economiser/Doubler to link two ports on a hub to a single 8-core (4-pair) CAT5e UTP wallplate. Then use one at the other end to split the signal to two workstations.

 

Cat5e splitter, doubler enables 2 different devices to share the same cable and outlet. They are usually used in paies, one at the outlet and one at the patch panel.

  • Send Ethernet data down a cable run of 4 pair twisted cable, the economiser
    combines /divides the data into 2 x 2 pair twisted signals
  • Use in pairs at each end of a cable run.

 

The Cable Economiser suits situations where sufficient network outlets are not available, or when the cost or disruption caused by installing additional cabling is prohibitive. Each one has two ports that enable the connection of two different devices to one 4-pair cable. Both devices are then continuously available.

  • Sold in pairs. Use one at the hub or switch, and one at the user side. Requires two patch cables at each end (total of 4, sold separately)
    Internal Printed Circuit board Structure meets EIA/TIA Cat 5E Specifications.
  • Works in both 568A and 568B wired systems.
