KANDI KANE CRYSTAL APPLICATOR

For hot-fix crystals

Kandi Kane crystal applicator supplied with UK plug (not added)

Instructions

Practice makes prefect in this case,so it makes sense you must practice. It may only take 20 or 30 minutes. But don’t be put off if it takes 4 to 5 hours of practice. You will get use to using your Kandi Kane and in the weeks to come you will get better and better.

Draw your design/picture or pattern straight onto fabric with a magic marker or chalk and place onto a hard flat surface. If you need to protect table, underside or folds of fabric, use old clean tea towel or paper and place in between.

Choose the correct size tip for the hot-fix crystals you have selected, plug in your Kandi Kane. Remember NOT TO TOUCH THE METAL PART’S, AS IT GETS VERY HOT!

Place the crystals you want to use right side up on your work surface.

Vertically position the Kandi Kane over the crystal you what to pick up and with a light touch, pick the crystal up in the cup at the end of the tip.

Do not force the crystal into the tip.

Turn the Kandi Kane upright and wait about 10 to 12 seconds until the glue gets shiny and starts to bubble. The time will be less for smaller crystals, and slightly longer for the bigger crystals.

Holding the Kandi Kane vertically, lightly tap the crystal onto the surface you want to embellish. The crystal will attach to the surface and slide out of the tip. You do not need to use any pressure, just a gentle touch. In a few seconds, the glue will have cooled and the crystal will be securely attached

Helpful tips, but you must practice!

Buy some very cheap crystals to practice with.

If the tip will not pick up your crystals you can slightly alter your tip.

If they will not go in then with a thin knife or blade slide into the slot in the tip and open the gap slightly until you can pick up your crystals.

If they fall out too easily then push the tip together until they don't.

If your crystals get stuck in the tip just insert a pin into the slot and gently push it out.

It’s a good idea to work on a surface that will not be damaged by heat.
