Therefore, we have now introduced new measures to make our service as kind to the environment as we can.
Recycled Paper
From July 2010, all paper used in the office, for correspondance and for delivery notes on orders, will be 100% Recycled paper from Evolve.
Boxes for Bags
As you can imagine, we use plenty of cardboard boxes and mailing bags to despatch your orders. From June 2010, we are actively replacing as many plastic bags with recyclable, corrugated cardboard boxes as we can. So make sure your cardboard ends up in the recycling bin.
WEEE Electrical Items
WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)
Some of the components used in electrical and electronic equipment may contain hazardous substances that can damage the environment and present a risk to human health if not properly disposed of.
Caab Living operatess take-back service for all customers, whether purchasing in-store or online.
When you purchase a new electrical item from Caab Living you can exchange an old similar like for like item (e.g. a toaster for a toaster) and prevent it from going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. This includes products purchased from other retailers.
Following the purchase of the new item, customers must return their WEEE item along with their ‘receipt of purchase’ to CaabLiving within 28 days of purchase.
Recycling is free, however we do charge 15.00 GBP for collection and transportation per item to be recycled or free if you drop it into one of our stores.
10:10 Business
Caab Living have recently signed up to the 10:10 Carbon Reduction scheme. The 10:10 organisation is a group of people and businesses who have vowed to reduce their carbon emissions by 10% within one year. By getting carbonemissions under control we will not only be cutting costs but staying ahead of the curve and helping Britain show the rest of the world how it’s done.
