| | | | Hi and welcome to my small space on e-Bay. I have been in the tool and equipment business for over 25 years and have sold everything from automobiles to Zippo lighters at one time or another. I first discovered eBay in 2001 and signed up and then made my first purchase. And leave it to me to jump right in head first. I bought a 1998 Harley Davidson Fat Boy Motorcycle with less then 3000 miles on it and then travelled 1400 plus miles to pick it up. It was a very scary first purchase but everything went extremely well as I did my home work and checked out the sellers feedback in addition to having extensive communication with the seller via e-mail. After that I started looking on eBay for other items I needed and realized I had been overlooking another good market place for things that I buy. A little while later I sold a few items on here and realized it was a lot of work selling on here and quit doing it. A couple of years later I did it again and realized the potential but again realized all the steps required to do this and gave it up again. On the third go round, I made a go of it and am now constantly trying to improve both the products I sell, customer satisfaction and efficiency in several areas. Mostly buying, shipping, listing, pictures and research. There is always a need for new and creative ideas to streamline the many different areas and steps it takes to do this. It is also in a constant state of change as eBay creates new rules and just the general need to adjust to the market place and the needs of customers as well as my own. As I go through the changes and ad and delete things in my ads I always ask myself, what do people get from dealing with you and what do they see and feel when they read your listings? First of all I think about the value and quality of the products I sell because without those two things you really don't have much. Then it moves on to having a good knowledge base about your products. Then of course if you can blend all that in with trust, fairness and the ability to communicate in a knowledgeable, friendly and open minded manner that's the premium blend right there. My past and current goal has always been to build an online business based on quality, value and trust with a neighborhood business type of feeling where people might stop by just to say hello with nothing specific in mind or maybe have a question about something they don't understand or to share some interesting knowledge that they may have or just have a cup of coffee for goodness sake! So in closing, any time you have a question about an item please feel free to contact me, and I will do the best I can to find you an answer. I also want to thank all of the great customers that have made this possible and all of the great input and information that has been freely shared and given with things that I don't understand. I look forward to continue doing business with all of you into the future. And also to make my small space on eBay a better place to shop and a pleasant place for me to work in because that’s the main thing! If you love what you do, you’ll stick to it and give it all that you got!
Peace and God Bless,
Jim |
