Clarez Corner Clarez Corner (or Clarezcorner ) started as a private seller, selling on unwanted personal items. As this trade developed into selling unwanted items from our business, “Clarez Corner” came, by default a business account.
Ebay is a fantastic market place, but requires an act of faith from both the seller and the buyer to work at its best. When I started selling on Ebay, I vowed to do my best to uphold Ebay’s best practice policy and to support my fellow members in any way I reasonably could, to this end, I regularly send lengthy support emails and always try my best to support not only those who trade with me, but any who ask questions.
P&P:
When I first started trading, I priced my postage and packing to cover my costs and not to make a profit, but buyers did not like this and as the 5* rating system was introduced, I decided to give free 1st class P&P to UK addresses. Surprisingly some buyers still think that’s too much, because I still do not get 5* from everyone

Why do I post to UK only?
- International post tends to be either slow, expensive or both and clients still expect a quick, free service.
- The more agencies who handle the goods, the more likely they are to get damaged, lost or stolen.
- I am not an expert on international trading law and although many trade across borders without problems, why take the risk?
How can I afford to give away free postage? Well let’s face it, it’s not free to me, so I have to recover the cost from the unit selling price, yes it may cost more in fees, but I think it’s worth it. Have you ever seen a £20 item and thought “that’s cheap” only to find a silly p&p cost (best (or worst) example – an Apple Mac G5 with Post and Packing over £350). So we all have to add the p&p on to the auction price to work out the true cost to us and to work out which sale represents best value (COME ON EBAY – GIVE COMBINED COSTS ONLY ON THE LISTINGS) – But not on my listings, what you bid is what you pay.
Returns Policy:
Why should you pay if I foul up?
You shouldn’t, that’s why I offer a no quibble refund policy – If I send you the wrong item, or I have seriously miss described an item, or the item is faulty (and not sold as such), email me within the week and I will decide on an appropriate course of action. This would generally be on a return and refund basis, but may just be a straight refund depending on the item.
You also have a range of statutory rights. If you buy an item with “Buy it Now”, you are entitled to a 7 day cooling-off period, so if you buy a calculator and 3 days later you decide it would have been better if it had been “sky blue pink” and you no longer want it, as long as you have looked after the item and it is not damaged, email me and arrange for a return within the week (at your expense) and I will arrange a full refund through PayPal. Different rules apply to auction trading and “Buy it Now” sealed DVDs, CDs or software (where seals must remain intact).
Whatever you buy, if you receive damaged or inappropriate goods, or have any other problems, please contact me before getting upset or leaving poor feedback. There is nearly always a way out of difficulties and the service I offer goes beyond your legal rights.
More advice on your legal rights may be found elsewhere on Ebay and on the Department of Trade and other British Government websites.
