Are the products for sale brand new?
Unless the description clearly states that the product is new, then the product has been professionally refurbished.
What is a 'professionally refurbished' product?
The product has been previously owned and should be expected to show signs of previous use ie slight scratches, minor cosmetic marks and minor cracks. Professionally refurbished products are by their very nature pre-owned computers. However they will have been fully tested, completely data-wiped and thoroughly cleaned.
The product will then have been passed through our 25 point checking process before finally passing through to our Quality Control Manager for final sign off. Most professionally refurbished products are pre-loaded with the correct operating system as per the product licence and drivers will be installed for the components within. However the operating system and drivers are NOT supplied on disk and it is the purchasers sole responsibility to create whatever backups they require.
Please expect there to be some cosmetic marks, scratches and minor cracks associated with a pre-owned computer. There is also the possibility of Pressure Marks on the screen which are caused from the screen touching the keyboard when the lid is closed. This is common and is not a fault. There may also be a small number of pixels not working on the screen, but again this is common and is not deemed faulty, unless more than 10 are out. If there are any more than this number it will be clearly identified in the product description.
All products are fully working regardless of the cosmetic condition
What is a 'tested' product?
Tested products have been powered on and tested for basic functionality. They are then packaged and despatched. Items will not be cleaned and may have labels and security markings affixed. All tested product items carry a 5-day warranty unless stated otherwise within the auction.
What is a 'bought as seen' or 'untested' or 'Spares / Repairs' product?
Occasionally we offer product that are described as bought as seen or untested or Spares / repairs. Products that are thus described are supplied with NO warranty. Due to the quantities of product we purchase, we are unable to test all and as such we seek to pass this product on to keep to our strict stock rotation policy. Product offered as thus will not be cleaned and may have labels and security markings affixed.
PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU EXPECT THESE PRODUCTS TO BE FULLY OPERATIONAL, THEY MAY WORK HOWEVER SOME MIGHT NOT. TREAT THE AUCTION AS A GAMBLE - WE WILL NOT TEST ANY PRODUCT HERE. WE ARE NOT SELLING ITEMS THAT WE HAVE TESTED AND KNOW NOT TO WORK UNLESS WE CLEARLY STATE THAT THEY DO NOT WORK.
ALL ITEMS LABELLED AS BOUGHT AS SEEN OR UNTESTED OR SPARES / REPAIRS ARE SOLD WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE AND WITH NO RIGHT OF RETURN WITH NO EXCEPTION.
Is there a Warranty available on the product I'm buying?
Please see the warranty details on the auction you are interested in – it will be clearly indicated. ANY ITEM SOLD AS 'BOUGHT AS SEEN' OR 'SPARES / REPAIRS' OR 'UNTESTED' HAS NO WARRANTY.
What happens if the machine does not work when I receive it? (excludes items sold as 'BOUGHT AS SEEN', 'SPARES/REPAIRS' OR 'UNTESTED')
In the unlikely event of this happening, you can contact Customer Services. If notified to us within 7 days, we will exchange the unit if we have a replacement available - unless sold as 'untested' when we will not entertain any returns or refunds. This may however not always be possible because of the limited availability of auction stock. In which case we may offer you an alternative machine (at least to the same specification) or we may choose to give you a full refund.
PLEASE NOTE: We supply only hardware support. This does not include support for the operating system or drivers installed on the product. We do NOT cover any software support on your product
