How HOT are the sauces we sell?

We list the sauces we sell into 6 seperate catagories

  • EXTRACTS (over 18's only) - 1 Million to 14 Million Scoville Heat Units*
  • FATAL 10++ - 500,000 to 1 Million Scoville Heat Units*
  • NUCLEAR 10+ - 220,000 to 500,000 Scoville Heat Units* 
  • BLISTERING 9-10 - 80,000 to 220,000 Scoville Heat Units*
  • FLAMING 6-8 - 30,000 to 80,000 Scoville Heat Units*
  • SMOULDERING 1-5  - 5,000 to 30,000 Scoville Heat Units*

     (for comparison, Tabasco Sauce is approx 2,500 Scoville Heat Units).

Extracts - Only for sales to over 18's. These all come with a safety warning and are dangerous if missused. As these 'products' are all over 1 Million Scoville Heat Units, we cannot call them sauces - they are extracts/additives and should be treated with the utmost respect. You have been warned!

Fatal - This catagory contains the Hottest Sauces in the World; they are all INCREDIBLY HOT! Top of the heat scale. All of the sauces in this catagory are over getting close to 1 Million Scovilles - they all contain pepper extract and some even come with a health warning!

Nuclear - These are NOT for beginners and are not recommended for direct consumption. They should be added to food 'one drop at a time'. All of the sauces in this catagory include 'pepper extract'.

Blistering - These are also way beyond anything most people will be used to! If your idea of hot is a phall/hot vindaloo curry, then these sauces may be one step too far. You may be best to start off with a sauce in the level below this one - Flaming.

Flaming - Still extremely hot sauces; these will burn on the way in and on the way out! Included in this catagory are the Hottest Natural Sauces in the world (i.e no super hot chilli extracts). These include only natural ingredients (chilli peppers - Naga, Red Savina etc).

Smouldering - Excellent hot sauces that blend a strong level of heat with a great taste as well. This is a good catagory to start with if you want something hot....but not too hot. Also included in this section are some mild to medium sauces (the sweet chilli sauces for example).
