BRITISH VEHICLE REGISTRATION DATES AND PREFIXES

When purchasing a personal registration, buyers should note that it is illegal to make a vehicle appear 'younger' thank it actually is.

To make your choice easier and avoid confusion, we have listed the dates of registration for vehicles from 1983 "A" registration onwards.

To identify whether your chosen personal registration can be transferred onto your vehicle, simply scroll down the list until you find the CURRENT REGISTRATION PREFIX/SUFFIX of your vehicle.

When you find the prefix, all the registration prefixes that appear BEFORE your vehicles registration prefix CAN be transferred onto your vehicle.

Unfortunately, all those appearing AFTER your vehicles registration prefix CANNOT be transferred.
