ABOUT BUYING VINTAGE
All of our items are authentic vintage, which means they were produced before the 1980s, with a small selection of items that date into the early 1990s. Vintage items are not new and have been pre-loved/hated, so in some cases may show signs of wear. That being said, we are committed to providing excellent, quality vintage garments. We do our best to mention any flaws we find in our pieces, and each item is thoroughly checked for flaws before ever leaving us, and we try to describe all items in as much detail as possible, to help you make the best choice when shopping with us.

Vintage items are one-of-kind and have had a previous life before reaching you and come with an individual history specific to the piece, giving them bags of character! Sometimes we WISH we had multiples of certain pieces but that would destroy the individuality of the garment.

Occasionally we do carry what is called “deadstock” vintage clothing and accessories. These are rare pieces that come from stores that have long been closed. These items are unworn, and usually come with original tags, but over time even unworn vintage clothing can show signs of age due to storage.

Please pay close attention to the measurements given for each garment as vintage sizing tends to run a little smaller than current sizing. See our size guide to learn more about how to find the perfect vintage clothing to fit your body. Estimated sizes are meant only as a guideline.

Sometimes clothing may have been pinned to the model/mannequin to show the desired fit of the garment, so please refer to our detailed measurements to determine the perfect fit for you.

We highly recommend that our customers wash or dry clean all items before wearing.

Who needs a shop? All that rummaging and queuing... Charming Magpies is an online Vintage Clothing Store, which means you can shop with us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, from all over the world; and you don't even have to carry your own shopping home, because we'll deliver it straight to your front door. All you need to worry about is keeping an eye on when that all important item listing or auction is going to end!

DO YOU HAVE ITEMS AVAILABLE IN DIFFERENT COLOURS OR SIZES?
All of our items are vintage and therefore one-of-a-kind, so it’s unlikely that we’ll ever come across anything the same ever again. That’s what makes buying from Charming magpies such an exciting experience. Sometimes we WISH we had multiples of certain pieces but that would destroy the individuality of the garment.
Remember, once an item has sold on Charming Magpies, it’s sold forever – so if there’s something you like it’s vital you swoop in early and grab it with both claws!
