Then I suggest you google for a patch for the game. The patch notes will give you valuable clues.

I always put the system requirements on the listing. It isn't possible to keep up with all changes and if the above does not give you an answer, please ask me. I might already know.
For example Civilization V GOTY does run on Lion :)
