Welcome to Cellostore - formerly The Bow Peeps Store.

We are located in the East End of London in the UK and sell a variety of stringed instruments including Cellos, Violins and Violas. We also have access via our retail associate to a huge range of fine instruments and are shortly to launch Vivace Violin ( www.vivaceviolin.com ) which will make available the largest number of fine instruments, bows and accessories for purchase anywhere on the web.

We pride ourselves on our ethical approach to business on eBay and will always endeavour to describe things as they are without over-stating or unnecessary hype. We would much rather the item you receive be better than expected than the other way round. Consequently our Student Outfits, for example, will not be described as 'The best Cello you can buy!' as, obviously, there are many more expensive and frankly superior cellos available ( we even have some listed ;-) ). However, you can rest assured that the outfit you purchase will be exceptional value and, for the price, the best in its class. The same applies to all of our range of instruments. If it is described as being for an intermediate player then that is precisely what you are purchasing - and don't forget, all of our items are covered by our returns policy so you can buy with confidence.

We believe that to buy an instrument that is made from inferior materials is simply a false economy. There is nothing worse than an instrument that is unplayable - either for the student or for those forced to listen! As a consequence we are very particular about the materials used in our instruments. For our cello range we specify ebony fittings for all instruments - boxwood, rosewood or dyed hardwood is simply not good enough for a quality instrument. Neither do we use cheaper tonewoods or laminates. All of our cello range use good quality tonewoods, maple for back and ribs and fine grained spruce for tables. Strings too need particular attention as they greatly affect the tone and playability of the instrument. All of our strings are, therefore, of good quality and produce a tone appropriate to the instrument. We do not set out to be the 'cheapest' on eBay as the old maxim applies - simply you get what you pay for and we would much rather you get a quality instrument that will provide good service and be a pleasure to own than an instrument that does not play as expected.

Occasionally problems do happen and we are only human so capable of mistakes - it is our belief that it is the way that problems, should they arise, are handled that is important and we have an excellent track record of ensuring customer satisfaction. If you should experience any problems whatsoever or have a query that you would like us to answer please do not hesitate to contact us. We can only resolve a problem if we are made aware of it so let us know and we will do our utmost to ensure that any issue is resolved to your satisfaction.
