Shipping & Handling Policy

*** Dear Canadian Friends up north: We will ship Mighty Leaf Tea items (Fifteen, Sixteen, and 25 tea pouch items) to any address in Canada as per the chart below.  

Shipment will be via USPS First Class Mail International (previously called Airmail Letter Post) .

Shipping Costs to Canada are 35% higher than shipping the same package to the USA.  

Shipping costs above reflect the 4/17/11 USPS rate increase.

United States Postal regulations require completed Customs Forms and International packages must be  hand-stamped at the Post Office. This means we personally take each International shipment to the Post Office, stand in line, and pay for the postage. This process, including drive time, takes a minimum of 30 minutes and sometimes 45 minutes or more if there is a line. The alternative for USA orders is that we pack the order and our regular USPS delivery person picks it up at OUR OFFICE – six days a week.  The additional costs and time involved in processing International

 packages necessitate higher Shipping and Handling charges.

*** Please do not ask us to mark international packages as a "Gift".   

Shipments to the United States - Notes:

** Sales Tax will be added for items (including Shipping & Handling charges) shipped to North Carolina.  If for some reason, you are shipping outside NC, but are still charged the sales tax on your invoice - please let me know before you pay the invoice so I can deduct it from your charges.

 *** If insurance is offered (higher priced items) - we suggest that you purchase it: $1.30 for every $50.00 (US address only). Insurance is optional, but if it is not purchased we cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged merchandise.

*** Combined Shipping: When purchasing multiple items, we will charge the highest shipping cost first and then the "Additional Items" fee for each of the other items   Below is both a list of our fees and an example showing you how combined shipping works.

** Please do not make your payment and then ask for combined shipping - this creates      both extra work and more fees for our store.

** Also - please do not buy and pay for items individually and

     then request combined shipping.

** Your best method of buying is:  Buy all your items and  we will send you an invoice with the price of all your items and the combined shipping costs.  You can make a single payment for all your items and get the best value for your purchases. If you want to buy and pay without waiting for us to send you an invoice, please see the detailed instructions listed at the bottom of this page

Detailed Instructions on ~ Combined Shipping ("S&H"):

 

You have two options:

 

#1  Buy as many items as you like and wait for us to send you an invoice to pay.

** We will combine shipping and send you an invoice with the correct total

 

#2 Buy as many items as you like and then goto:

** My Ebay

** Items Won

** Pay now – this will take you to Paypal

** In Paypal you will have to manually calculate the

     correct S&H costs based on this formula:

*** First S&H cost = the highest S&H fee of all the items you purchase

*** Other S&H costs = the "Additional Item" S&H cost

       for each item you purchase

*** See the chart above labeled S&H Fees for

       the "Additional Items" S&H costs

 

Option #2 basically works on the "honor system" when you are buying several different items.  Because we have different types of items for sale, if you buy one of each, Ebay cannot calculate the shipping ("S&H") because the "Additional Item" S&H cost is not the same for all our products.   The honor system for S&H also means that if the S&H you pay is incorrect, we will send you another invoice and upon payment, we will ship your order.  We have requested that Ebay "fix" this problem, so that when you checkout, Ebay will make the combined shipping calculation for you.
