CDL Micro Shipping Policy.
This document sets out the basis upon which we dispatch goods to you when purchased goods from CDL Micro, via ebay.
Once you have placed your order, relax!
Our efficient team will place your order in a queue and it will be processed as soon as possible, usually within 1 working day. We aim to dispatch all orders paid for by 3pm, the same day, however there may be occasions when this is not possible. We will inform you by email if this is the case. Please note, unless you choose the 'Get-It-Fast' option at checkout we are unable to guarrantee a delivery timescale. We guarrantee our dispatch time!
CDL Micro shall not be liable for any finacial or other loss caused by delayed delivery.
'1st Class Royal mail' Option.
If you have chosen our 1st Class Royal Mail delivery option then we will normally use Royal Mail. We reserve the right to send heavier/bulky orders by next day courier (DHL) (at no extra cost to you). A signature will be required at the point of delivery. To prevent unnecessary inconvenience we would not normally use this upgrade for items that would fit through a regular letter box.
'Recorded Delivery' or 'Domestic Insurance' Options.
If you have chosen to pay for 'Recorded Delivery' or 'Domestic Insurance' your item will normally be sent using Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. A signature will be required at the point of delivery. We reserve the right to send heavier/bulky orders by next day courier (DHL) (at no extra cost to you). A signature will be required at the point of delivery.
'Get-It-Fast' Option.
If you have chosen to pay for the 'Get-It-Fast' service your item will normally be sent using Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Working Day Delivery. A signature will be required at the point of delivery. We reserve the right to send orders by next working day courier (DHL) (at no extra cost to you). A signature will be required at the point of delivery.
'Airmail' Option.
If you are a buyer from outside of the UK, your item will be sent by Royal Mail Airmail. Please note that this is NOT a traceable service and we cannot provide any tracking numbers for mail sent using this service. Delivery via airmail can take anything from a few days to 3 weeks.
'International Signed for' or 'International Insurance' Options'
If you are an overseas buyer and have chosen to upgrade to this option then your item will be sent by ‘Royal Mail International Signed for’. This does NOT speed up delivery but does provide a more secure routing of your mail. A tracking number is available on request via email, after dispatch. Items cannot be tracked once they leave the UK. The main feature of this service is that a signature is required at the point of delivery.
Delayed Delivery.
Experience has shown that 99% of our domestic dispatches are delivered to our customers with 1 working day of leaving our warehouse. Unfortunately we do find that occasionally items are delayed/lost in the mail. As per Royal Mail's policy were are only able to resend lost items after 3 weeks (15 working days) have passed since dispatch. We will resend the item to you by recorded delivery (no matter which service you chose in the first instance) after this time has passed. We appreciate that this may be an extended time, but our aim is provide you, our customers, with the best possible prices.
Any item deemed to be 'lost in the post' shall be deemed so solely by CDL Micro and will be re-sent as stated above. We will NOT provide any refund under any circumstances due to any itme of mail being delay or lost in the post. It is with regret that we must implement this policy due abuse by a very small amount of fraud.
If you feel that your delivery has been delayed, please email us at info@cdlmicro.co.uk and we look into the delay. Please note that 1st Class and 1st Class Recorded mail is NOT able to be tracked by Royal Mail, however Recorded Mail is traceable once it has been signed for upon delivery.
Failed Delivery.
In the unlikely event that our mail carriers are unable to deliver to the customer address held on file with eBay and/or Paypal we will, when the item is returned to us as 'undeliverable', contact the customer by email to inform them of this. A re-delivery charge may be applied. Please ensure that your address and postcode are correct at the time of ordering.
We will email you to inform you when we have dispatched your goods. Royal Mail aim to deliver 1st Class Mail within 1 working day of dispatch & 2nd Class Mail within 1-3 working days, however, this is not guaranteed. If you require urgent delivery please choose the 'Special Delivery' option when paying. Goods sent by 1st Class Royal Mail are insured upto the value of £32. Goods sent by Recorded Delivery are insured upto the value of £32. Goods sent by Special Delivery are insured upto £500.
Overseas buyers, please note, you MUST choose the 'International Signed for' delivery option when paying to obtain a tracking number to be able to trace your package during transit.
We hold a record of all dispatch dates and trackable service numbers for 12 months.
Please note - CDL Micro reserves the right on very rare occasions to dispatch a product of similar or better specification or colour to that specified in the item listing - this will not be to the customers detriment and will not in essence alter the technical performance/compatibility of the goods sold. If this is the case CDL Micro will normally take time to inform the customer by email at the time of dispatch. |
