 Welcome to 'Boatropes'

Use the links to the left of this page to find the type/diameter/length of the rope you need.   If you can't easily spot it we probably still have it, so please telephone or email for assistance without obligation.

Shop Telephone:  01606 888154  (8am-7pm, outside these hours please email us on boatropes@barryedwards.co.uk )

Our products fall into five main categories:

Mooring:  Whether for a marina, drying harbour, swinging mooring, between piles or locking through canals you will find mooring ropes here to suit you.  One of our more popular lines is our range of ready spliced doublebraid nylon mooring lines with 12'' loops in one end.  If you are new to boating or have just changed your boat advice is always available by email or on 01606 888154.

Anchoring:  From lightweight anchorlines for PWCs and dinghies to heavyweights for splicing to chain, they are all here.  Shot line for diving, tethers for hot-air ballooning, we have provided anchor lines for many other purposes.  An exclusive to 'Boatropes'  is our range of ready made doublebraid nylon anchorlines with spliced thimble eye for shackling to an anchor or its chain.

Rigging doublebraids:   Suitable for halyards, sheets and other sail control lines, 5mm to 14mm.  All our products are low stretch doublebraid polyester for close sail control.   These high quality ropes are also suitable for non-boating rigging work and breaking strains/elongation factors are available for every rope in the shop.

Equestrian:  For our now regular equestrian customers we have sourced a colourful range of high quality marine doublebraids for making Parelli-style natural horsemanship equipment.  Diameter, weight, handling and spliceability have all been considered in our selection.  We have the lines you need for halters (6.3mm US 1/4") lead ropes, training lines and reins (13-14mm, US 1/2"-9/16).  Brass swivel trigger clips and splicing tools complete the 'toolkit'.

Canoeing and Safety lines:  Floating recovery line in the form of 8mm 20 metre throwbags or as any length of 8mm or 10mm from the reel.  Two bright safety colours and professional grade, we wouldn't offer less.  Suitable for all watersports from canoeing to offshore.

Just in: Selma splicing fids for doublebraids 6mm-20mm, in sets of 3, 4 or 5, waxed whipping twine in small handy sizes, black or white.
