| The following format is used for all the measurements given in my listings. For bars - GAUGE x LENGTH x BALL SIZE For rings - GAUGE x DIAMETER x BALL SIZE GAUGE - This is the thickness of the bar. It can range from 18g (0.8mm) to 000g (10.4mm) & bigger. For a full list of gauge sizes please refer to my SIZE CHART page. LENGTH/DIAMETER - This is the 'wearable' length/diameter of the bar or ring. BALL SIZE - This is the diameter of the ball ends/closure ball. STRAIGHT BARS are measured along the bar, in between the end ornaments. The measurement does NOT include the end ornaments. CURVED BARS are measured straight across the inside of the curve, between the end ornaments. The measurement does NOT include the end ornaments. RINGS/SPIRALS are measured across the internal diameter. This is an internal measurement & does NOT include the bar thickness. LABRETS are measured straight along the bar, in between the base disc & the end ornament. The measurement does NOT include the ornament or base disc. |
