Distance Selling Regulations -UK Buyers
As a business seller, I have certain legal obligations to you as a buyer.
I have to provide you with certain prior information so you can make an informed decision about whether to buy from me. I also have to provide you with the same information (written confirmation) once you have purchased, so you have a record of those rights. This will be done by email when you purchase an item.
As beauty items are perishable & can be contaminated, they don't come under the Distance Selling Regulations 7 day cooling off period, unless the item comes with a seal. For items that do come with a seal or for accessories, (cloths, candles, gift boxes, etc) that have been bought at buy-it-now price, you have 7 working days (starting from the day after the item was delivered) to cancel your order.
You must contact me in writing first, either by letter or email, within 7 working days, stating that you are giving notice to cancel your order under the Distance Selling Regulations 7 day cooling off period.
Returns will not be accepted unless you contact me in writing first.
I will then contact you by email, asking you to return the item at your own expense. If items are not returned within 7 days, I will deduct the costs of recovering the item from you, from your refund. If the recovery costs are higher than your refund, I have the legal right to charge you for those costs.
You have a statutory duty to take reasonable care of the item whilst it is in your possession & until it has been received back by me, so you need to package the item well for its return. If the item is lost in the post, the costs of recovering the item (or replacing it) will be deducted from your refund or if the cost is higher, you will be charged for this, therefore it is advised that you return the item by special delivery. Please note recorded delivery is only a proof of delivery service, it can still go missing.
Item to be returned in the original box/packaging with all parts intact & in the same condition as when sent. If the item is not in the same condition or has parts missing, then you are in breach of your statutory duty to take reasonable care of the item & action will be taken.
You will receive a refund within 30 days of cancelling your order.
In order to be eligible for a refund;
The item must be still sealed or be a non-perishable item.
You must be a UK resident.
The item must have been bought at buy-it-now price.
The item must have been sold to a consumer, not a business. If you are registered as a business on ebay, it is assumed that you are buying for your business. Ebay states that if you wish to buy for private use, you need to open a seperate account.
You can of course return the item if it is faulty or not as described, please read the item listing for more information.
Thank you |
