Product Warranties

All our products are new and unused unless otherwise stated. All products have a minimum of 12 months warranty for private use within the UK. In addition the following manufacturers provide additional benefits as follows:

Silverline Guarantee

Silverline products come with the free option of an extended guarantee period.
Silverline Hand Tools are guaranteed forever - Powertools have a 3 year guarantee

To activate this guarantee you must register the product at within 30 days of purchase. Should you not wish to register, a standard 1 year guarantee period will apply.

Terms & Conditions

This guarantee, and the guarantee period, begins on the date of retail purchase as detailed on your sales receipt.

If this product develops a fault within 30 days of purchase, contact us, stating details of the fault. You will receive a replacement or refund.

If this product develops a fault after 30 days, but within the guarantee period please make a claim online Here

You will need the Guarantee Certificate issued during the above registration procedure together with your original sales receipt.

A guarantee claim must be submitted during the guarantee period.

We do not refund carriage. All products should be in a suitably clean and safe state for repair, and should be packaged carefully to prevent damage or injury during transportation. We may reject unsuitable or unsafe deliveries.

All work will be carried out by Silverline Tools or its appointed repair agents. The repair or replacement of the product will not extend, or renew the period of guarantee. Retained tools, or parts, for which a replacement has been issued, will become the property of Silverline Tools. The repair or replacement of your product under this guarantee provides benefits which are additional to, and do not affect, your statutory rights as a consumer.

What is covered:

The repair of the product, once verified to the satisfaction of Silverline Tools, that the defect is due to faulty materials or workmanship. If any part is no longer available or out of manufacture Silverline Tools may replace it with a functional replacement.

Products purchased and used within the EU.

What is not covered:

Normal wear and tear caused by use in accordance with the operating instructions e.g. blades, brushes, belts, bulbs, batteries etc.

Accidental damage, faults caused by: improper use, abnormal environmental conditions, overloading, insufficient maintenance, careless operation or handling of the product.

Use of the product for anything other than normal domestic purposes.

Change or modification of the product in any way.

Defects caused by the use of parts or accessories which are not Silverline Tools genuine components.

Faulty installation (except when installed by Silverline Tools).

Repairs or alterations carried out by parties other than Silverline Tools or its authorised repair agents.

Claims, other than the right to correction of faults with the product covered by these conditions.

Slight deviations from the specification that do not affect the functionality of the product.

Draper Tools Guarantee

All Draper tools are guaranteed against faulty workmanship and/or materials for life with the following exceptions:

Any power tool described above considered faulty must be returned to the Draper warranty department at Hursley Road, Chandlers Ford, Eastleigh, Hampshire, SO53 1YF.  To arrange collection contact +44 (0)2380 494041 or +44(0)2380 494046.  Alternatively it may be returned to the nearest authorized warranty repair agent if so directed by us, if the tool is found to be faulty it will be replaced or repaired at our discretion free of charge.

Any other tool considered faulty must be returned to us with a written statement confirming the fault.  If the tool is found to be faulty it will be replaced or repaired at our discretion free of charge

These guarantees do not apply to normal wear and tear nor any damage caused by misuse, careless or unsafe handling, alterations, accident or repairs attempted other than by authorised Draper warranty repair agents.  These guarantees are in place of any other guarantee expressed or implied and variations of such guarantees are not permitted, but your statutory rights are not affected

Draper Guarantees are only effective if the first user produces receipt or invoice to confirm first user’s purchase within the appropriate guarantee period.
