HOW A PAYPAL E-CHECK WORKS

I decided to write this after having several customers upset with me because they wanted items shipped out as soon as the E-Check was sent from their Paypal account. The seller doesn't receive any funds until the E-Check has cleared into the sellers account.

The money is deposited from your account directly to Paypal. Paypal holds the payment until it clears into the sellers account. I've seen these clear in as little as 1 day and as much as 18 days!

In the mean time a customer can cancel the E-Check at anytime until the payment clears 100% into the sellers account. This is why we cannot ship items until the E-Check clears.

From a sellers point of view these are basically the same as receiving a personal check without seeing any Identification.

Ebay and Paypal alike highly recommend that no packages are shipped until payment clears, and for good reason. It is unfortunate but their are people out there that do use this scam to get items for free. Making things more difficult for the good honest people.
