When you receive your item, if you believe the condition of your item is not 'as described' by us in the listing, please contact us at the earliest opportunity (and no later than within 72 hours of receiving your item). Upon prompt return of the item, assuming the claim is accurate and reasonable and providing the item has not been used  we will either carry out a repair at no charge or, if you prefer, or if repair is not feasible, we will give a full refund of  the item price and delivery charges plus return postage costs. We always do everything possible to resolve any problem, we want you to be nothing less than 100% satisfied.

 

NOTE Email and particularly the eBay message system is not infallible, if you do not receive a prompt response from us, something is wrong, we are not ignoring you. We monitor messages 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The packing slip with each item includes alternate contact details and our phone number is easily available through eBay. If you are worried about the cost of calling, call us and we’ll call you straight back.

Returns Policy
We operate two forms of returns policy, depending on which eBay format the item is sold through.

Buy-It-Now items (sometimes also referred to as Fixed Price or Shop Inventory) can be returned to us unused within 14 days from receipt of the item.

Let us know within 7 days from receipt  if you wish to return the item to us, it must be unworn with any of our tags still attached and the tags must not have been tampered with, we are not a costume hire company (We have to mention this to the few). We will provide you with instructions for returning your item. Then return the item to us promptly to ensure that it arrives with us within a further 7 days. We recommend you use a guaranteed traceable delivery service, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in the post. Return postage costs are not refundable.

Items sold through eBay Auction format are non-refundable unless we have made a mistake in the description of the item.If we have we'll deal with your concern promptly and courteously. 

In other cases We may, at our discretion under certain circumstances, offer an exchange or credit note upon prompt return of the item, providing it has not been used, and possibly less a re stocking fee of 20% and all postage. No returns due to Size , Fit or Odour Issues, you need to satisfy yourself from tyhe measurements given that the item is right for you.

No refunds for  'Buyers Remorse' an auction is just that if you take the trouble to bid and at the fall of the hammer you win,we and eBay expect you to honour your committment to buy.

 

International Returns

We are not responsible for UK import Duty on International Returns from   Non EU countries. You must contact us for advice/ shipping method / and form of words to legally avoid duty on returned goods. If you do not follow these instructions, the item will not be claimed by us and will be returned to you by the postal service you used.


Before Buying
Please  ask us as many questions via email or phone as you like. If you are new to eBay and need advice, just get in touch, we'll be pleased to help. If you do not take the time to check measurements etc before you buy you may be disappointed , for instance even ‘standard’ sizes vary from maker to maker

The sizes we give are from makers labels where present or are our best estimates. In both cases we qualify the size by giving the most detailed approximate measurements we can

We recommend that you also check the approximate actual measurements shown in the listing for each garment, against a garment that you already own and are happy with.

Colour
Monitors can vary, so on occasion there may be slight variation in colour from that on the screen compared to the item when you receive it. Our monitors are professionally calibrated.We take a great deal of time to ensure our pictures are accurate.

Condition
Please remember that many of our vintage items are between 20 to 60 years old our antique items even more, so minor flaws can be expected, we do our best to mention even the slightest fault and don’t expect vintage items to smell like new.

We only sell items we'd be happy to own ourselves, that is the bottom line . Quality not quantity is our motto. Although most of our items are freshly dry cleaned and re proofed by our specialist ( Ex Savile Row)  and the remaining items carefully steamed prior to being offered for sale, do not assume all our items are dry cleaned. We state clearly if that is the case.

Respectfully, we do not recommend vintage clothing for allergy sufferers.

When describing the condition of an item, we use this system:

 

New, with or without tags, we will state if perfect or if a second

 Immaculate: It may have been worn a few times but looks and feels fresh with no signs of wear

Excellent: Used item with no significant faults, we mention even the slightest detail.

Very Good Condition; Signs of use but plenty of life left in it and perfectly wearable, any faults found are detailed.

 

Good Condition: Overall condition is good, but has some issues that we will mention. probably listed because it is an interesting, or unusual example.

Relic: Unusual item but with lots of issues that are detailed, strictly for the collector.


Paying For Your Item
We accept Paypal, and also accept debit / credit cards by phone (01989 562212 (1000-1700 GMT  Mon-Fri). We require payment within 3 days of the auction ending. If you have a problem, please contact us as early as possible. If we haven't heard from you within 7 days, we reserve the right to relist / resell the item and follow the eBay non paying bidder process.


Receiving Your Item
We will email you a dispatch confirmation when we post your item. We despatch items every day, by the fastest safest systems, you benefit from paying the special rates we have negotiated, we do not profit from postage and packing, in fact in some cases we subsidise postage. Please make sure the delivery address you have on file or have provided us with is correct, most items will need to be signed for, we also need a phone number for the couriers. If your item is undelivered through no fault of ours you will be responsible for re delivery costs

If you need your item urgently please contact us and we will do all we can to help

Remember, delivery times stated above are from date of posting not date of purchase

If your item doesn't arrive by when you expected, just let us know


Postal losses are very rare, but in any event you will not be out of pocket, unlike some eBay sellers, if an item is lost we refund you promptly and we deal with the hassle of recovering the loss from the carrier, not you.

Feedback
We leave feedback in response as soon as we know that the transaction has been completed satisfactorily. From experience we have found that neither party should leave feedback until that point is reached. As sellers we expect you to give us the opportunity to remedy any problems, we are renowned for our customer service, use it, we are there for you.
