 Delivery

For Express Delivery or Other 24hr Orders to be dispatched the same day, the order must be placed before 2pm. The next working day does NOT include Saturdays.

UK Free Delivery (Except selected auctioned Items, please check the postage charge specific to each auction)

Includes:
All items sent by Royal Mail 2nd Class to all parts of the United Kingdom for all orders up to 1kg.
All courier deliveries via 24hr courier (DPD or Parcelforce 24) to Zone 1 UK ONLY.

This free UK delivery by courier does NOT include the Highlands & Islands of Scotland, Northern Ireland, The Isle of Man, The Isle of Wight, The Scilly Isles or The Channel Islands.

The additional charge for these zones is to cover the courier companies extra charge for delivery to these zones and no extra is made by us Ark Stores (UK) Ltd.

The charge for these zones will be automatically added to your order.

Combined Postage
This is not applicable on any Zone 1 deliveries as they are all free postage (excluding any auctioned items mentioned above) so we may bundle multiple item you purchase in 1 parcel, but is up to 31kg per parcel for all other Zones.
So for example if you are in Northern Ireland and order multiple items that total more than 31kg you will need to pay the couriers surcharge for each 31kg parcel.

Other Postage Terms
No 24hr courier services are guaranteed although over 85% do arrive next working day after dispatch.
We cannot guarantee any delivery by any 3rd party company inc the Royal Mail and courier services and we will not accept any responsibilities regarding time taken to deliver your items.
We cannot be responsible for delays due to strikes, miss sorting, delayed deliveries due to busy times i.e. Christmas & Holidays or acts of God and bad weather.
We do obtain proof of postage on ALL items sent, this is signed for by the collection officer or courier driver.
Should in the very unlikely event your items not arrive within 7 days please contact us on 0845 68 68 275 (local call rate) Monday - Friday 9am-5pm.

However experience tells us 1 of 5 things have possible happened to your parcel:

  1. It is most likely either at your local sorting office and the Royal Mail have either forgotten to leave a card or the card has been misplaced or lost. Please if possible contact your local sorting office and ask them if they have a parcel for your post code / address.
  2. The next most probable explanation is that the Royal Mail or courier have left the item(s) at a neighbours and they have not yet told you they have a parcel for you so please check with them.
  3. They have left the parcel in a bin / porch / outhouse/ garage etc Please check in all of the possible locations.
  4. The Royal Mail have simply miss sorted your parcel so it will be delayed and re sent to your sorting office asap by them and still delivered.
  5. The label has been ripped off so they do not know where to deliver the parcel to. Normally in this case it will be returned to us at some point.

There is always a possibility that it is actually lost or delivered to the wrong address and not recoverable this is however highly unlikely but does happen in approx. 1 in 10,000 items sent. Should this happen we can after 8 working days open a Royal Mail investigation. They will then try to contact the postman / woman that delivered your item to the wrong place and try to recover the good and also check that it is not misplaced in the sorting office with a label ripped off or just not delivered yet. After 16 working days if not found we can and will make a claim with the proof of postage we obtain for all items, with the Royal Mail to cover the cost of the postage and items and reclaim our money for them and then re-send your order again.

Should the purchased item(s) not be available we will contact you and either with your authorisation replace the item(s) with an alternative or refund you. Sometimes very rarely the stamp part may get ripped off so the Royal Mail assume that the parcel is not paid for and will charge you the receiver the postage and a charge, should this happen please send us the receipt for the payment you have paid and we will refund you in full, we know this is annoying and has happened to us too, but this problem is normally caused due to the automatic sorting machine or conveyor belt in the sorting office or it simply gets wet and comes off. We like you have no control over this and assure you all postage is paid for by us on all parcels we send via our Royal Mail account.

Damaged Items
We take every precaution possible when packing your items to make sure they are protected and arrive intact. However, we cannot control the heavy handedness of the Royal Mail or couriers and accidents do unfortunately happen, we insure all items in transit up to the point of delivery.
Should in the very unlikely event your item(s) arrive damaged, please contact us immediately on 0845 68 68 275 (local call rate) Monday - Friday 10am-6pm.
We will normally just require a picture of the broken item(s) for the insurance claim.
We will then make the appropriate claim and then re-send your order again for you and if needed get the couriers to pick up the broken package or ask you to kindly send it back to us and we will then cover the return postage by the same method as the package was sent to us i.e. 2nd class.
Should the purchased item(s) not be available we will contact you and either with your authorisation replace the item(s) with an alternative or refund you.
If your item has arrived damaged by courier the same will apply but if you notice that your item is broken when the delivery driver is still there (i.e. you can hear broken glass in the package when handed over to you) please refuse the delivery or check it whilst the drive is there BEFORE signing for the package.
It is advisable to ALWAYS SIGN FOR DELIVERIES AS “UNCHECKED” when delivered by courier.
