The Swarovski Crystals we use are Genuine CRYSTALLIZED™ Swarovski Elements which is the premium brand for finest crystal elements manufactured by Swarovski. Swarovski Elements are used by designers in fashion, jewellery, lighting, etc, to create their own designs. They do not carry the swan logo. About Swarovski Crystal Pearls They are simulated pearls with a crystal core. They are similar to real pearls not only in appearance but in weight as well as their ability to adjust to your body temperature. They are very durable, resistant to scratches and abrasions, UV light, perspiration, and perfume.
Sterling Silver Jewellery This does have a tendency to tarnish but by taking a few actions, this can be reduced. Put your jewellery on last after using cosmetics, perfume, hair spray, etc. Do not wear jewellery in the shower or bath. Do not wear jewellery whilst you are swimming as chlorine and salt water can cause damage. Store your jewellery in airtight grip seal bags when not being worn.A silver cloth can clean and bring back the shine to silver. A silver dip must not be used on oxidised jewellery or jewellery that contains stones.
Hallmarks All jewellery supplied or handcrafted by Argent Gem complies with UK legislation and is hallmarked as appropriate. The majority of our jewellery is below the necessary weight requiring it to be hallmarked.
The charms and components used to make our jewellery that are sterling silver are purchased from reputable jewellery making suppliers in the UK (Birmingham Jewellery Quarter and members of the British Jewellers Association). There is not a legal requirement for all components to be stamped 925 and this in fact is not a hallmark but an indication that the item consists of 92.5% of pure silver, a figure which qualifies it to be regarded as sterling silver. An item has to have a total of 7.78gm and above of silver before it has to be hallmarked.
