Here are a few tips if you're fairly new to e-bay on how to get the best out of shopping.
You don't need to wait until a shop item is finishing to buy it, you can purchase a shop item at any time.
You can buy any shop item or buy-it-now item without having to pay for it straight away. This is so that you can purchase several items from us and get a postage discount. When you click on the 'buy now' button and 'commit to buy', you then click on 'continue shopping' and do the same with your other items. When you are finished click on 'pay now' and ensure that all the items on the list are ticked, then at the bottom under the total, click on 'request total from seller' and will we send you an invoice with the postage discount applied. If you are unsure of this then simply wait and we will send you a revised invoice in due course.
If you want to pay by cheque or postal order then please still click on the 'pay now' button and select the payment method you are using. This isn't just for PayPal payments and it lets us know that your payment is on the way.
Please note that payments by cheque or e-cheque can take up to 10 days to clear. Contrary to popular belief, a cheque does not clear 3 days from when you sent it! It may take a day or two to reach us, especially if it is a weekend or bank holiday, and then is tilled up and will only be banked if there are enough items to pay in as it is impractical to bank just one cheque for a few pounds. It will then take 5 working days to clear at our bank. We post as soon as we can be sure it has done so. |
