Cumfy Pets Poultry & Waterfowl Houses are designed and made to our own high spec and design. They are constructed from the best quality fully treated chinese fir which will last for many years if maintained with further treatments. The treatment used is eco-friendly and is perfectly safe for animals and birds.

We design our housing with great thought, so that they are easy to clean and look after for you. All units are constructed solid timber framing using tongue and groove boarding and/or shiplap using screws on the roofs. All  our houses are finished to a very high standard. We build good ventilation into our units to keep humidity levels pleasant and disease free for the birds. Floors are made with exterior grade plywood and raised off the ground either on framing or legs.

All bolts, hinges are of a high standard. We always use heavy gauge weldmesh (black ppc coated where we can), on our runs because foxes can, and do, chew through normal chicken wire.

Our houses are fox-proof (and badger-proof) but this is not a 100% guarentee(providing you remember to shut the pop-hole of course!)

We recommend that after 9 to 12 months you apply a coat of decking seal to the house to keep it watertight. By then the timber will have been through a season of movement with temperature changes and will have settled in place. There will always be some small movements, as it is timber after all, but with regular care of your Cumfy Pets house it will last for years
