The United States Post Office has announced a postage price increase effective January 22, 2012. This will effect shipping rates to the U.S. and to all International destinations. WE WILL COMBINE YOUR ORDERS TO SAVE YOU $$$ ON SHIPPING except on selected deep discounted items -If you purchase more than 3 yards of by-the-yard fabrics, or more than 1 bundle, please do not pay for any items until we send you an invoice showing all the items with the correct combined shipping. You can pay from this invoice. -- If you need any help, please let us know. All Measurements shown in listings are approximate. None of the fabrics we offer are intended for use for children's pajamas.
Shipping We ship 2 to 3 days a week, so you will get your order quickly. We ship to United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia. Shipping rates shown are for U.S. delivery addresses, unless otherwise noted and additional shipping will apply to International orders.
We can usually fit up to 7 yards of 44" cotton quilting type fabric (not flannel) into the flat rate priority mail envelope. We can usually get up to about 24 yards of 44" wide cotton quilting type fabric (not flannel) into the flat rate box. And up to about 35 to 38 yards in the Large Flat Rate box - If you want to use a flat rate box, place a moderate order, we will cut the fabric and try to fit it into the box and we will let you know approximately how much more will fit. If you order more than we can fit in the box, additional shipping may be required.
For larger orders to U.S. Locations, FedEx ground is usually the cheapest way, but we will compare rates and ship at the best price.
Insurance Limited insurance is provided automatically on all priority flat rate box orders - based on the weight of the package .
If you want to have shipping insurance covering your shipment, please let us know and we will re-bill your order, including insurance.
Insurance is now available on international flat rate envelope shipments for an additional $3. All International priority flat rate box shipments include automatic insurance up to a specific amount, based on the package weight, which is usually adequate to insure the contents when we ship fabric.
Sometimes international shipment are randomly selected by customs for inspection - this may hold up a shipment for several weeks. We have no control over this. Also, sometimes the receiving post office may hold your package awaiting payment for customs duty. If your package does not arrive within 10 days after payment - we strongly recommend that you contact your local post office every few days and ask if your package is there, awaiting payment of duty.
International shipments
If your shipment does not arrive when it was expected, this may be due to the package being selected for Customs inspection. This can delay a package up to a month or more. There is no way to track this, and no way to expedite it. For this reason THE UNITED STATES POST OFFICE DOES NOT CLASSIFY ANY INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENT AS LOST UNTIL IT IS 60 DAYS PAST DUE.
If you feel your package is past due, please give it plenty of time to arrive, and check with your post office weekly to be sure they are not holding the package for collection of postage or fees. We have found over the years that packages ALWAYS SHOW UP EVENTUALLY!!! Please have patience. |
