Terms and Conditions of Sale

By purchasing an item from APR Media Ltd on eBay your are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Payments

We accept the following payment methods in pounds (£) sterling;
Paypal - This our prefered method of payment
Credit/Debit card - Pay by calling our sales office on 01823 669166. Mon - Fri 9:00am - 5:00pm.

After winning one of our items at auction or completing a Buy It Now purchase, please complete the eBay checkout procedure.

If you have purchased more than one item you may request a new total in the checkout.

All payments must be made within 3 days of purchase.
We will pursue all unpaid items for all charges and fees after 7 days of payment not being received.

 

 

Shipping

We aim to ship orders placed and paid for by 2.30pm Mon - Fri the same day, but this cannot be guaranteed. Orders received after 2:30pm, at a weekend or on a bank holiday will be shipped the next working day.

All orders are packed professionally and carefully.

Although we ship very fast we do not guarantee a specific date or day for delivery as that is in the hand of the Royal Mail or the delivery company as used. We reserve the right to choose the courier and delivery service. This normally depends on the size weight and value of the goods.

We will only ship to the address you have supplied via eBay. This cannot be changed under any circumstances.

 

 

Returns

You must contact us and be issued with a returns authorisation number before sending any item back to us. We prefer all communication to be through eBays messaging system.

Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty.

I wish to return an item - 30 day return policy

You have 30 days to notify us that you wish to return an item.

You must contact us as above to acquire a returns authorisation number before returning any item.

The goods must be in an 'as new' and unused / sealed condition. You will be responsible for any return costs and are respoonsible for the safe return of the goods.

Upon successful return we will only refund the cost of the item and not the original delivery cost. A restocking fee of 20% of the product total or £1.50, whichever is the greatest, will be deducted from the refund.

e.g. 1)Item cost £7.99 + £1.49 postage. Refund of £6.39 will be given. (20% deduction)

e.g. 2) Free post item cost £19.99. Refund of £15.99 will be given (20% deduction)

e.g. 3) Free post item cost £2.49. Refund of £0.99 will be given (£1.50 deduction)

If You Have Simply Changed Your Mind (7 Working Days*)

If you have ordered goods from us, but then simply decided that you wish to cancel your order, then you are entitled to do so and have any money that you have paid to us refunded, provided that (a) the goods have not been in your possession for more than 7 Working Days* after the day on which you received the goods ; and (b) you tell us in writing (preferably using eBays messaging servive) that you wish to cancel your order. Please note that you may not cancel any goods ordered from us where any audio or video recordings or computer software has been unsealed by you.

You will receive a refund via your original payment method as soon as reasonably practicable, but no later than 30 days after the cancellation of your order has been received by us in writing.

Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us. If we collect the goods from you, we may charge you for the cost of collection (and we may if we wish deduct this from your refund).

My item is damaged or I'm missing something

If goods arrive in a damaged condition or there are shortfalls you must inform us within 3 working days* of delivery. We may require photographic evidence of any damage. Damaged goods and shortfall claims will be processed within 5 working days* of notification.
At our discretion we will either issue a refund or send replacements.

My item is faulty

If you find that your goods are faulty on arrival, then you are entitled to a repair, replacement or a refund. Please note that for some goods it may be disproportionately costly to repair those goods, and so where this is the case, then we will give you a replacement or a refund. We may require the goods to be returned to us for testing. If after testing the goods are found not to be faulty you will be charged for the return costs of sending the goods back to you.

 

 

Delivery Shortfalls

I'm missing something

If there are shortfalls you must inform us within 3 working days* of delivery. Shortfall claims will be processed within 5 working days* of notification.
At our discretion we will either issue a refund or send replacements.

 

 

Undelivered or Returned Parcels

For all parcels that are returned to us by the Royal Mail as undelivered because no one was at home or the buyer failed to contact the Royal Mail to have the parcel re-delivered or collected, we will refund the price of the product only and not the postage charges as they would have been paid.
If the item item was a 'free post' item, a deduction of 25% of the original total or £1, whichever is the greatest, will be deducted from the refund.
If the item was sent by courier, we will deduct the courier charges x 2 as we get charged for sending the goods out and also for having the goods returned to us.

 

 

Royal Mail Deliveries

If you haven't received your goods, they may be being held at your local Royal Mail sorting office. They are supposed to leave you a card, but they may not of done. Please contact your local Royal Mail sorting office to see if your parcel is there.

The Royal Mail does not consider a parcel to be lost until after 15 working days. If after 15 working days you have still not received your parcel we will issue you with a refund or replacement and submit a claim to the Royal Mail for the lost goods. You may be contacted by the Roayl Mail to confirm this and are required to fill in any forms they require.

 

 

Blank Media Compatibility

If you encounter any problems with the media that we sell please stop using the media immediately and contact us, if you continue to use the media and continue to have disc failures we are not liable for the "burnt" media with which you have had problems. Most problems with media are usually related to hardware, firmware compatibility and setup and is not usually the media which is defective. We get countless emails from people who buy the cheapest media expecting it to work in all DVD players who think they have `Faulty` media. The media is usually not faulty but simply incompatible with their hardware. Please bear this in mind when purchasing media. Budget media is hardly ever as universally compatible as quality media. If you want virtually universal compatibility, we always recommend using media with a quality dye i.e. VERBATIM or SONY DADC.
Alleged `Faulty Media`. Most customers who experience trouble burning media always leap to the conclusion that the media must be faulty in some way. In over 97% of these cases the fault lies elsewhere in their setup, or the media is simply incompatible, not defective. In cases where the customer is adamant that the media is faulty, we have the following test procedure that we follow. We have 5 test writers here (different makes) and 4 test DVD players. We usually burn 5 discs, 1 in each writer (or in extreme cases 10 discs) then test each disc in each DVD player. We then compare the results to a previous test using the same media (or we run a new test with same media from different batch of the same media and compare results). If the media does not show as defective in our test, we will only replace unused media.

 

 

These terms of sale and the supply of the goods will be subject to English law and the English courts will have jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising from the contract, save that consumers resident in Scotland shall have the right to insist upon these terms being construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland and to submit to the jurisdiction of Scottish courts.

The Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations
Under certain circumstances, APR MEDIA LTD offer take back on portable waste batteries. Please contact us on 01823 669166 for further information. Waste batteries should not be posted back to us. Alternatively, you can find your local waste portable battery recycling facility at www.recyclenow.com. Most supermarkets and shops that sell batteries will have collection bins for used batteries, and some town halls, libraries or schools may also set up collection points. End-users may find stores in their local area more accessible.
